Spurs have one of the best center rotations in the league now
That’s how bad Eubanks and Thad were

KJ's three-point shot looks so much better compared to a month ago. Maybe just a confidence thing

Absolutely, I LOVE the switchup from Poeltl to Landale, the latter especially is very athletic and coordinated for a bench big. I really could see him starting sometime in the next few seasons. Having a bench of all (quasi, with Tre) shooters is huge.

You just wonder what the team could do with a healthy ZCollins.

If Eubanks gets extended run from Poeltl/Landale being in foul trouble they can easily come back.
lol possible, but even with Eubanks this will be a blowout. Pistons playing YMCA ball out there. Couldn't even get too close with Forbes stinking it up...

With one of Poeltl or Landale at all times it really alleviates size issues for spurs

Edit - especially if KBD continues to produce

That’s less than $20 mil invested (not counting Collins because of his uncertain future) in that position. People talk about poor asset management by the Spurs, but right now they have so much flexibility to do what they want to fill the other positions because they’re not stuck with bad contracts. They put little money into the NBA’s least important position - Center.

Here’s my hot take… Landale >>> Sengun. He will have a better career. Landale can actually stay on the floor while Sengun’s lack of physical ability makes him foul prone.

Everyone is playing very well, but seeing Tre is just a joy. Pushes the tempo so well. His pace and Landale's spacing really make this bench unit go.

DJ protocol is a blessing in disguise with Tre Jones getting tons of floor general time.

Fast track his development and then DJ returns

This has to be the fastest I’ve ever seen a Spurs team play. It’s not just the pace though. It’s the quick decisions, extra passing, selflessness. I’ve been hard on Pop for his insistence early in the season to play Forbes but damn this is some good stuff he’s coalesced lately.

Impossible to compare right now tbh as Jock is 26 and and Sengün is barely 19. Sengun will be the better player in 7 years imo, but who knows. Jock is a fine prospect in his own right and fits the timeline of our team better. He’s just what we need from a backup C tbh.

of course, thats why it’s a hot take. I’ll make sure to bring it up ten years from now. (Even if it turns out I’m wrong because I have no trouble saying I’m wrong)
