i don't understand why pop is consistently willing to let large leads disappear. i am sure the starters will get the lead back up in the 3rd, then 2nd string will give it back up and we will have either a lakers win or a narrow victory for the spurs in what should have been a blowout.

TP was lousy in the the 2nd qtr. He was sloppy and sluggish, jumper was off, missed connections on some passes and let the Lakers' active hands bother him. Brent Barry needs to get comfortable. He's still not locking in yet from the outside.

How long will it take for Brent to get his shot back? 1 tip-in in 5 shots

And Mike is still not hitting, 2-7.

Tony's cold, too, no layups, and 2-7 shooting.

Rasho has yet another hot opening minutes, then disappears. What a head case.

Rasho in foul problems...3 so far, Tony not in his "groove" that I have seen him at the start of the season.....oh well...there is ALWAYS the second half to "turn the heat up in the kitchen"...

This is really funny, I'm following the game on a Lakers board and here. The different views on the same plays are kinda amusing.

The Spurs who are shooting best aren't shooting the most shots.

    Tim took only 5 shots.

Phil knows that he must and knows how to clog up the paint vs Spurs.

Over here it's all "that quarter sucked" and "too many turnovers" and on CL it's all "Oh my gosh we're only 5 down???" and "keep Odom on Duncan, he's too quick for Duncan".

    It's really funny.

The Lakers did tighten up their interior D and Smush Parker, who is good at using his reach to create tipped balls and steals, had very active hands.

TP brings ball up. Bruce rt. wing j, no.

Odom drives rt. misses reb. Mihm, fouled by Bruce.

2 FTs by Mihm good. 43-40.
