I mean, I've been saying he's not a center for a while now.
Good point, but in the modern NBA he's a "tweener" big and that unfortunately means he's exclusivelg playing center.

If he did bulk up it would likely come at the expense of his foot speed and leaping ability. For a guy that has suffered a lot of lower - body injuries, Zach is still relatively athletic.

Plumlee having a career scoring (and FG%) season in year 10 has to do at least a little with other players elevating him
LaMelo is a net negative rating on the court I think numbers wise. Sure he may make Plumlee better but I’m talking his team. Sure the offense is better but overall? No winning impact. He’s not good enough on offense to over come how bad he is on defense and they should be clear cut ahead of the bottom 2-3 teams if you think LaMelo is a legit foundational piece imo

I understand what this season has turned into, but even still I think I might become an alcoholic...or a full on glue sniffer in these last 25 games of the season; only way to get through it.Guys do play hard most of the time, so will give them that at least.
It kind of reminds me of the 1997 season. I was a kid back then and wasn't able to watch any of the games as we didn't have access in my country and the internet simply wasn't good enough back then, but I remember following pretty much every game via live scores, or if I couldn't do that, just reading the game recaps/box scores/quotes after each game. I remember that team played hard and I didn't find it hard to keep up with the team the whole season (I actually enjoyed it as they played defense). Also, someone correct me if I am wrong, I don't remember them getting blown out too much (maybe I am wrong on that and I am only remembering some of the close games against good teams. I remember Greg Anderson keeping Shaq down to a low scoring game and the Lakers squeaking out the win). I also wish I could have seen Dominique play as I really wanted to see what he could do on a healthy Spurs team. He was someone that kept my interest through the season (along with the Spurs playing hard and also playing defense).

Anyway, I am finding the current team similar, but not quite as easy to follow due to all the blowouts. I am hating the defense (Romeo Langford and Jeremy are the only two guys on the team that have made me somewhat excited defensively), but that could also be down to the rule changes making it harder to play defense. I mostly find myself following this team to watch the youth develop. Don't get me wrong, they do play hard, but I don't like all the blowouts. Not sure if the blowouts are more due to the way the league is these days, though.

I don’t think he’s a franchise guy but he definitely raises their ceiling imo

Tomorrow versus Cleveland should be an easy L but Wednesday in Charlotte we will have our work cut out for us.

Would be nice if Pop gave Sochan the night off as a travel day ahead of the AS Weekend.

Also, would be a great gesture to let Devonte Graham start (chuck) against his old team the Hornets.
I think you have to play right up to the ASB to participate.

Graham’s team was the pelicans, not the Hornets.

He made his name and his contract as a Hornet.

I hope you are right because if true that means CHA should definitely win more games than SA this final 25 games…

death, taxes, and dpg ranting about lamelo on twitter after every CHA loss

as an aside, while we both agreed that if not the spurs, we wanted detroit to land wemby. but maybe we should be pulling for charlotte to increase odds of that FRP conveying in the next 2 years

I mean…it’s justified rant IMVHO. Sure, he’s flashy and his volume 3PT shooting has been a pretty big + based on him projected to be a terrible shooter. But hes still overall inefficient, is maybe the least interested defender in the NBA and I have my doubts about building around him.

Hes a talent - Im not saying that. But so is Trae etc…and they can be hard to build around unless they just have insane offense and even Trae fallen off some and ATL going backwards. CHA cant even get off the starting block.

Nah - F CHA lol. I would still rather DET get Wemby because it would be way more fun to see a franchise like DET get him vs terrible CHA
