Langford played big minutes spanning the last portion of the 3rd into the first nearly half of the 4th.

Not for nothing his parents were sitting in front of me and were largely just as chill as Romeo seems. His defense, including his help and rotations D was really stellar tonight.

Need to sit Keldon and Devin next game if at all possible... I still feel we finish at least 3rd place.

Yep. They spend too much time with the banter and stop calling the game. Sean is the analyst who doesnt analyse anymore.

As much as Id plow her, get her off the broadcasts

The only thing I think is psycho is not seeing the talent even though most of us watch every game…

We panicked when “DeRozan was gone” and some of us said “chill - he is easily replaced by Murray/Dev/Keldon”. Then you see the leap Dev/Sochan have made alongside Keldon and how they were compe ive until injuries hit and its “oh this team sucks and we dont have any talent”. I really dont get why our fans (half I would say) just hate our youth and cant see any talent despite SA having a lot of very good players

Tim, Tony, and Manu set a very high bar. Literally one of the best trios that the NBA has ever seen.

That's not a knock against any of our young guys, including those who have left (Murray, White, Walker, etc.)

But yeah...they have some big shoes to fill for a franchise that became accustomed to winning for 20+ years

That makes sense but damn! I mean it should be obvious to adjust expectations from there lol. But ya, Im not saying SA has more top tier talent than all teams or that we have super stars etc…but we arent “bad” like some others IMO. It’s a team that needs an offensive engine and if they get it? They can vault up the rankings quicker than many think between draft, cap situation and trades.

Cool. I still really like him despite all the time he's missed with injury. Any idea if his parents were just visiting, or are they living there in SA? I assume they're just visiting and he wanted to play well with them there.

Spurs need to keep piling on the losses...but this was a nice FU to Murray who has been mouthing off about the franchise after he left.

Mid 2nd quarter, you could tell he was just trying to showboat in front of his old crowd. KJ wasn't having it in the second half.
Seriously, it’s like Keldon and Vassell went to Pop, “Pop seriously, just a bit?” And Pop conceeding, “okay, wipe that smirk off that mofo’s face.”

Agreed. I think we can continue to expect progression from our current rookie trio (Sochan, Branham, Wesley). I kinda feel like Johnson has hit his ceiling but he is still a very good player...just probably better suited as a 2nd or 3rd option. Vassell is starting to look like a really solid pick. Collins is, at worst, a very serviceable backup big.

I think the Spurs are two solid players from being back in the playoff picture. They should be able to get at least one with a Top 5 pick. At that point, it will be interesting to see what that collection of talent could do if Pop stops the tanking tinkering and actually plays them to win....we saw a glimpse of what that looks like yesterday.

Post Jak, we're seeing that Collins is a high end starter.

CHA is only 3 wins ahead and they suck so bad and SPurs are winning at a 50% clip
Spurs solidly 2L below CHA, and 8 of remaining 11 Spurs games on the road.

Spurs still have a good chance of ending in the bottom 3 with 14% chance for Wemby

A "good" chance at something INDISPENSABLE when you had it all but wrapped doesn't cut it. Fool around a little bit if you want, but damn better make sure you don't give away chances for free.

Spurs just beat DEN, the beat ATL, they are capable of beating good teams now that they are pretty healthy. If CHA wins 2 more I dont think it matters, but until that happens? Just have to see how it goes.

Lol - I agree. Just anxious since it’s close and so many scoffing at the idea even. When so many scoff something I usually like to fade that and go against crowd

Yep I check the standing every day to see how close we are to CHA. Waiting for May 16th is nerve-racking enough!

Spurs basically have a whole young supporting cast including an entire bench line up. They just need „that guy“
