The coaches will need to be on the guys about their lack of aggression and attacking right away.
FVV playing with defensive intensity that we havent really seen for about 2 seasons now
but man, KJ definitely looks shiftier with the ball than i can remember
nothing wrong with a big that can handle and pass. we had that with diaw. the warriors have it with draymond. but you dont see the warriors giving the ball to draymond at the top of the 3 point line and have him run pick and rolls and stuff. being a playmaking big is different from being a point guard
keep remembering Pau watching Cedi. white dude with long-ish messy hair wearing 16
cedi is playing very well tbh. a lot of energy, not just going through the motions at all
Amen looking niceeee tbh
sochan not looking good....maybe cedi should start in front of him
If these young core can play to their potential, we can get a playoff spot this year
Keldon is streaky w the shooting, but I love HOW he is playing.
It's going to be hard to keep him and that energy out of the starting lineup.
I think Sochan and Tre take turns in the starting 5.
Collins is showing his improved game, but we need to remember that he is being guarded mostly be Sengun, who is trash on defense.
Still super happy w what Collins is doing. He is maximizing his ability.
Osman is going to get a lot of PT. He's just solid at everything.
Malakai will be our main scorer off the bench imo.
sochan simply isnt a point guard. being a crafty passer is not the same thing as being a point guard. and he aint it. doesnt mean he cant be a useful player, but its almost cruel to ask him to play this role
the main thing i like about PG sochan is that Tre Jones becomes a high end backup PG instead of a low end starter. and it basically removes Graham from the rotation
branham playing better defense than we saw at any point last year![]()
You don't need to play PG to push the ball up the court. Pop is currently playing Sochan with three front-court players. If he wants Jeremy to push the ball, he should be doing it as a forward.
Cedi has played well, but there shouldn't be a space in the rotation for him. Sochan, Johnson and Wemby should take all the PF minutes. Cedi at best would be fighting McDermott for those minutes, but hopefully with Branham, Wesley and Champ, wing minutes aren't available either.
brooks thinks he's prime danny green tbh![]()
Amen was a really good prospect. I think there's a reason a lot of people (Idiots like me, and smart people) had him ahead of Brandon Miller. Awesome feel, athleticism and size combo.
Keldon looks more balanced in the ball - He used to always look like he was a bit tilted, like he was biased to drive forward - useful and aggressive, but predictable. Being more upright / balanced in direction should open up a wider range of driving angles and mean he's more ready to shoot off the dribble if he maintains his positioning and defenders sag off him.
Keldon to the locker room, hopefully not too serious.
Cedi and Champ are mostly competing for the same spot imho
obviously its in the spurs interest for champ to take that spot. he's younger, on a very favorable deal, etc. but if he's not going to shoot the way he was at summer league, im not sure theres anything he does better than osman right now
Baby steps. These guys are like puppy dogs growing up.
Cedi is getting minutes until he's hurt or one of the young guys plays better than him.
Who are Houston not playing tonight?
really ugly minutes with this lineup...
Some gross basketball going down to end the 3rd. Yikes.
