Possible if in a small sample size like 10 games , no way over the entire season.
You’re concerned that our current generational player might STAY? That’s ed up.
Possible if in a small sample size like 10 games , no way over the entire season.
5-5, optimistic me hopes for no blowout losses.
The you going on about? Is this actually you being obtuse or are you joking?
Pretty much the inverse of what you said if youre being real, lmao. I'm also not "worried." Just something to think about down the road if there is an inflection point, it's likely to be when Pop finally decides to hang them up.
7-3...will start out hot...but cool of once Wemby hits the rookie wall and opposing teams get accustomed playing him.
He’s not a regular player that you grow accustomed to. His size is unadaptable. You can try but to change that much of your game or team offense put you at an extreme disadvantage.
5-5
They’ll surprise a few teams with their friskiness, like the Clippers and even the Suns, who are older and whose players typically don’t really get going for a few weeks.
Pop will consider those games as preseason and will experiment a lot, idea is going to be to let Victor do his things at 20/25 mpg. With that in mind I'd say 3-7, 4-6 being optimistic
Yeah, this is just not what he does, but how he's always in your head. This is HIS game.
5-5
They were 5-5 last season, obviously without Wemby, before doing better (10-20).
Could be 7-3 or 3-7. Depends of Pop.

yeah, some guys have such ridiculous athletic advantages that there really is no "adjusting" to them
nobody has really been able to adjust to giannis. nobody was able to adjust to shaq. now those guys have been immune to adjustment in large part because of their strength (in addition to their size, length, and agility for their size).
obviously, wemby will do it in a different way. we've seen that nobody has been able to "adjust" to durant's version of offense, and that obviously has nothing to do with strength. you kind of just hope he misses.
and you can only adjust to shotblockers so much. like, we've seen teams simply challenge gobert less over the years. his block numbers have gone down but his defensive presence is still outstanding by most metrics. at some point, by refusing to challenge a shotblocker where you otherwise would, you are taking your offense out of synch to a degree where its not feasible to maintain efficiency over periods of time.
even if teams learn to "avoid" wemby, at least the hyper-active, contest and challenge everything version of wemby that we've seen in the preseason, it would require offenses to contort to such an absurd degree that i cant imagine they would be effective
its like that team that double teamed curry all game, even off ball, at davidson. they still got blown out, but they "adjusted" to curry
11-0, the next team will default after seeing Wemby.
Seriously though:
vs Mavs - Loss
vs Rockets - Win
@ Clippers - Loss
@ Suns - Loss
@ Suns - Loss
vs Raptors - Win
@ Pacers - Win
@ Knicks - Loss
vs TWolves - Win
vs Heat - Loss
so 4-6, I can see them beating Knicks or one of the Suns game if they got lucky though, so good case would be 5-5
vs Mavs - Win
vs Rockets - Win
@ Clippers - Win
@ Suns - Loss
@ Suns - Loss
vs Raptors - Win
@ Pacers - Loss
@ Knicks - Win
vs TWolves - Loss
vs Heat - Win
6-4
It’s going to take Wemby at least a month or two to get into “NBA Shape”. Right now he’s doing a lot of huffing and puffing out there. He’s got such a constant motion motor on the floor that he’s not taking the opportunity to take a play slow to regain his wind occasionally. He won’t be playing 30+ mpg until he gets his conditioning up to NBA level.
9-1
I agree with that, but the wall seems inevitable for a kid who is playing this many games. I think he will be an all star and probably dpoy, but 82 games is a LONG slog for guys who have never done it.
7-3. Then the honey moon will be over and we will settle back to a more .500 basketball.
I had them losing to Dallas and winning the next one against Houston.
If we go by rascal's predictions, looks like we're going to sweep the Sons on the road and go 7-3
They might if the Suns are injured.
Yeah been wrong on all three games. Didn't think the clippers would be healthy when I made the prediction days ago. On game day I didn't think the Spurs would win that game.
Spurs look worse than I thought and will win against short handed injured teams on the road. They need help with injuries to the other teams.
If Spurs win again, that's gonna be some reverse nostradamus![]()
