Wemby did his best post-game to disapprove of Pop's bizarre ramblings without overtly saying it.
He knows fully well that, here in Europe, you could win 50 games in a row in any given sport but if the coach gets on a microphone and starts scolding their own fans they'll be out of a job before they can even leave the stadium

Just watched Pop’s press conference. Two thought: (1) total to the media but he lectures Spur fans on class; (2) shows he’s weak by not answering for his stupid in game rant at fans.

I stopped booing Kawhi at home games a few years actually. But tonight I started again after Pops meltdown. Don’t overstep your boundary. What video doesn’t show is the booing after he went back over to the bench.

I was at the Clippers game in LA, sitting maybe 15 feet from the Spurs bench and could clearly hear a guy in the crowd yelling ALL GAME for Wemby to "Go Back to France" and that "Scoot is better than this bum"... but yeah, let's make sure we don't boo opposing team players taking FTs

Pop did this sort of crap before when Kobe was on trial for rape, something about wanting fans to be respectful and not boo or go overboard or something. It wasn't during a game as I remember, he was still somewhat involved in coaching. But I could be wrong.
As usual, Pop was worried about how the fans were treating Kobe instead of figuring out how to not get destroyed 4-0 after being up 2 games on the Lakers.

Two things
1. He's lost his compe ive edge. That's incredibly soft to want to protect Nephew's feelings.
2. He has way too much job security. Nobody has ever seen this bc most other coaches would have some explaining to do to ownership.
