So did people notice the difference between the Jones and Johnson lobs to Wemby? Victor waited for Jones' signal to move, so he was able to get a clean catch and finish against a moving defense. Wemby was pinned and guarded by a static defense, and there wasn't a high-percentage pass for Johnson to get him the ball, which resulted in a turnover. That Jones pass was a play young Robinson ran quite a bit. That second play was what folks have been yelling at the Spurs to do most of the year.

For all intents and purposes, that's a play the team is running for Wemby. That's exactly how they need to get him touches, rather than having him freelance and try to get lobs by being tall against a set defense.
