Detroit is playing better since Duren is back playing. Gave Boston a tough game in Boston.
Well we know 3 or 4 good games he will have every year

Sochan outplayed by Walker Sochan was picked 9th walker 57th in the same draft we should have picked Eason
Don't know why he simply forgot about Barlow. He could have replaced Sochan.
Sochan's defense is comical.
Just go back and watch highlights on his positioning and what he's doing defensively. I'm laughing at how lost he looks out there.
He's in between the basket and a player on the break and instead of holding his ground to take a charge and contest the break with his arms up he keeps his arms down and turns his body to let the player go right past him for a layup.
Sochan only good games came vs teams that had no defense or centers and let him do layup lines. He’s horrific outside of that. Never seen a dumber low IQ player in a Spurs jersey then this guy but some of you sniffers call him untouchable. Can make a low light reel just off his air balls when he’s given 10 feet of space to shoot it.
Spurstalk talked about him and Vassell as if they were defensive aces last year
Over rated by Spurstalk and stats didn't support him being a strong defensive player last year.
Sochan is so bad.
Today's Spurs scouts
He made 2nd All Rookie team. He showed promise last year. I hoped the point guard experiment would help him but it seems to have only confused him. He's young and raw but last year he had fire. For various reasons that's been extinguished this year. Without that emotional edge he doesn't have enough skills to fall back on. He doesn't know what his role is. To me, this is the biggest let down of the season, Jeremy's regression.
Pop said he's proud how the team fought to get back in the game after being down 30![]()
What a mess...
Can't be defending the three-point so that all guys can all rush into the paint and then stand there and watch as the other team gets the offensive rebounds.
Sometimes it feels like watching a pack of puppies all chasing a ball
Just comical how the talent drafted by Pop and Wright just can’t compete with a short handed bottom feeder like the blazers. The last draft nights experts didn’t know what to say about our stupid picks. Everyone was asking themselves what have we missed and are the spurs super smart. Now we know the answer , no they are just stupid and think themselves smarter then everybody. Geez
Bruce Bowen needs to come in and coach defense.
As I've said before, the entire roster is full of charity cases and players with fatal flaws that are impossible to overcome in the modern NBA.
Impossible unless that player is elite at a certain aspect. For example elite shooters can get away with being bad defenders, but Doug is such a bad defender that even Curry levels of shooting would barely make him a net positive.
Aside from obviously Wemby, Devin is the only exception here, but even he's been showing concerning levels of tunnel vision and bad defense. I guess that playing with ters eventually gets to everyone.
Tre - undersized, can't shoot.
Sochan - where do I start? For some reason his defense has also turned to . The only thing he's got going for him is that one-handed FTs are actually working, but Jeremy attacking the paint is a win for the opponent in itself.
Keldon - disgustingly bad defender considering the level of athleticism he has, even worse tunnel vision. Definition of a tank commander and empty stats player.
Collins - Bonner played DPOY defense compared to him and had double the 3pt percentage. Get rid of ASAP.
Branham - Homeless man living under the bridge's Jordan Clarkson. Another traffic cone on defense.
Osman - End of the bench guy for serious teams, managed to look decent for us at times because everyone else is so lost.
McDermott - Managing to be the worst defender on the team in such compe ion is a feat, tbh.
The rest of G-league roster isn't even worth a mention.
The situation is honestly alarming. Three years in the lottery and one player to show for. But he got a 150 million deal and started regressing.
Maybe Sochan can be salvaged, but that's about it.
An entire new roster to surround Wemby is needed.
This season is a write off already, but come the next season we need at least five quality rotation players who are going to be net positive or Wemby is going to start asking questions. Doesn't seem like the type who's going to be content with wasting time on a team that's not making any progress.
But you can ignore the entirety of this post as long as the old man is still in charge.

There has been a brain and talent drain from the court to the front office over the last 7-8 years. The franchise has been coasting on the reputation it built over the previous 20 years ever since.
Pretty much agree, but I don't think the situation is as dire as you make it sound. I think Tre, Keldon, Osman, and Collins can be fine if they're in the right role. Of them, the only one I'm concerned about is Collins since they're paying him starter money, but he's probably a backup. I think the Spurs are stuck with that contract. Not exactly sure what to make of Sochan yet, but he's on a rookie deal so he can get cut loose if it turns for the worse. Branham may honestly be the worst player in the NBA. He needs to be spending time in Austin, not starting. However, he's also on a rookie deal so he can be jettisoned early if need be. I think McDermott's gone to a contender after this season.
It sucks that they've missed on some picks recently, but they've not made any unrecoverable errors either. The Collins extension is probably their worst mistake IMO, and that's only for 2 seasons. They still have their picks and some others that look to be fairly valuable. However, this next offseason is the most important offseason since the Kawhi trade. They have to hit on the upcoming picks or make trades for starters using them. Otherwise, they risk falling into the same cycle that Detroit is in now and countless other teams have fallen into in the past.
As someone said a few years ago, Schrodinger's Branham.
He was in starting and garbage time lineup in the same game.
Yeah, with current cap situation, Collins contract is irrelevant and not a burden, what's more concerning is that they thought he'd actually be worth the money. It sucks that they've missed on some picks recently, but they've not made any unrecoverable errors either. And what's even more concerning is that they're always so reluctant to make any moves and will sit on all those picks.
I'm not saying that they should waste picks on bad players, but PATFO needs to get rid of we like what we have mentality.
We lucked into a generational talent that's already proven he can be parennial MVP in a few years, not capitalizing on it would be one of the biggest failures in NBA history.
The whole roster is G-League outside of Wemby, Vassell, and Jones honestly. Those are the only three players on the team who can play any competent level of defense. By competent I mean not bottom third of the league.
Tre Jones is 10000% G League mate...
He just looks decent bc the rest is awfull, he has way too many limitations to be in NBA
vassel should be the 1st on the trading list bc of his contract, his fragility, his still existing hype and his countless weaknesses (mainly ball handling, court vision, defense or leadership)
He'd be great in a contender Wwith a very limited role of spot up shooter.
He's awfull with responsabilities o leadership
. I would sell high on Devin too, tbh.
