They are saying LAL pick 55 is a key pick and they can’t afford to waste it on Bronny James because they are in a win now mode.

I almost agree 100%, except that Buzelis is just as bad.

Castle is not a good idea. He was propped up by the insane UConn system, full of other players who executed that allowed him to look good. Not an elite athlete, not an event creator, gets absolutely ignored as a shooter.
That UConn system held him back from individual accomplishment. It’s a huge credit to him that he understood that it would, and he went there anyway, and merged his talent into the team concept. He was a top 10 prospect, and could have gone near anywhere and had a green light.

Maybe they are sending us the 2 and 14 for the 4 and 8.

Wizards likely don’t make this trade unless they know that Sara is going #1 imo.

With Avdija in Portland, they should be less likely to take Salaun or Williams at 7.

If the spurs end up getting Reed or Castle AT 4, i can see them trading the #8 for a future #1 and another second, or just blow it on someone who should be pick 25 or so. They don't always make the obvious choice.

Meh, for as much as Salaun gets (and I'm on board), as soon as the Spurs pick him, most of us will do a 180 and start getting hyped for the prospect of a 6'9" kid with a 9'2" standing reach panning out.

Same with Castle, I don't have high hopes in his shot developing, but if (when) the Spurs pick him, I'm gonna get excited thinking about Jrue Holiday 2.0 possibilities. This isn't a draft to sweat it all that much, tbh.

Boys, got inside info. This is how it's shaking out:

    Risacher
    Sarr
    Sheppard
    Castle
    Buzelis

    Trying to get 6-10 now

Not true at all. People hated the Primo pick from the beginning all the way until the end. A lot of people didn’t change their minds.

I don't want Salaun because I don't think he'll ever put it together, but if he does, he's got one of the higher ceilings.
High-motor, 6'10 with reliable 3pt shot? Not many players like that in the league.

I don't think Salaun will ever be good and won't change my opinion until I see otherwise. I'll be glad Wembanyama gets his buddy and see it as a tax for drafting him. I will hope that Salaun someday learns how to play in Austin or elsewhere.

Tbh, drafting Salaun and him never putting it together wouldn't be that bad. Wemby's camp would realize they shouldn't interfere with the roster construction process anymore.

But because that was a monumental reach of historic proportions. Nobody saw that coming. It would be like the Spurs drafting Bronny at 4.

Also, somewhere down the line, many of us tried to get into the Primo bandwagon untill he exposed his true self, literally.

The experts on this board believe he’s a monumental reach so you gotta believe them
