Ex and his stupidity astounds me. He’s still mouthing off after I sent him to the tree of woe yesterday.

Anyway unlike his dumbass opinion, people don’t want Pop to be seriously ill. We forget Pop is near 80. I hope he takes it easy for his sake. All that traveling and stress over coaching can do a number on you. Get well soon, Pop!

Tbh I disappointed there isn’t more speculation from this Forum.

    remember when Primo killed someone?
I could have sworn during that time we were all speculating about what Primo did that Vassell either liked or had a cryptic social media post that people thought was related to Primo and some thought Vassell was next to be waived lol.

My memory sucks but maybe you remember.

It wasn’t phrased quite like that. TOSB, senile. Edgelords backing away from the edge, now that something actually happened.
Yeah thats fair, actually. There are people on this forum who are like that - I just ignore them most of the time - but yeah, I get your point.

Sucks to be Pop in this thread. He's actually 75 years old... But then he's 80... Then he's 90! Will he hit the century?!?
I mean saying 75 instead of 80 doesn't materially change the argument that people of his age need to not be working. This is honestly an issue with their generation that we see all over the place. People need to retire and give other generations a chance at those jobs. Sure, not that big of a deal for an NBA coach but its the same we see in many fields where people just refuse to give up their positions and se damn sure see it in our goverment leadership. I don't see the point at all. I love my job but youll never catch me doing it that late into life because there are so many other things out there to do.

Pop basically dedicated his life to the Spurs. I‘m pretty sure if his wife was still alive he would’ve retired a long time ago.

Must be from that soy based diet he's on, that can't be good. Somebody get the old man on a testosterone cycle, so he can quit crying about Trump and get back to tanking the sperms asap.

I do hope Pop will get will soon.
The Mitch Johnson story reminds me a bit about Spoelstra. If he in fact is the one designated to succeed the legend.

Your opinion. If it were a clear season ender, they would have said so. He’s not a player where you have to strategically obscure his status.
I agree, but they might want to talk to Pop to see how he wants to handle it and Pop might not be able to speak on it currently.

A lot of people telling on themselves here. The OP only says that Mitch Johnson will be coaching indefinitely. That’s what I quoted.
I understood what you meant. It was pretty obvious to me that you meant "people wish he wouldn't be the coach anymore" and not "people wish he would die" but everyone insisted on giving your post the most uncharitable reading possible

Haha, yeah I forgot about that. Devin was injured (shocker, I know) and people were suspecting he was somehow involved in whatever Primo was caught up in and that’s why he was being held out. Little did we know at the time that Devin is just made of fine pewter and is very fragile.

Prayers up. For all the I’ve talked about PATFO during the DDR/LMA era Pop has earned the right to coach to the grave if he wishes. Can’t believe he is 80 and this high functioning.

Yeah tbh my grandparents were already ill before 80. Sometimes I forget Pop is already in his mid 70s. He always seemed invincible. He will pull through this.

It is amazing how stark of a difference there is in Pop’s coherence at this age compared to, for example, the last two Presidents of the United States of America, both of whom were of similar ages.

Trump is fully coherent and the same person he was 10 years ago whether you like him, his policies, tactics or shenanigans. Biden served his country to a point he was genuinely slipping and needed to step down.

Coach Pop is more Trump than Biden at this point.

Him jacking off microphones kind of doesn’t jive with your statement.

He’s clearly slipped as much as Biden has.

Trump’s level of coherence has been about the same for the last 8 years, but it is far from coherent. He makes Dubya look like a Nobel Laureate Poet.
