Everyone except you guys must be Redkins homers then because you are the only ones ing the call was wrong.
that was a touchdown....period.
if you have possesion, two feet in bounds(and a knee). it is a touchdown. the ball coming out at the end of the play is just like when a player reaches over the goal and the ball pops out...its a touchdown and the play should be ruled dead at that moment.
the endzone is different then the rest of the field of play. on a catch in the open field, yeah maybe that is incomplete(maybe), but on in the endzone it goes.......1. catch, 2. touchdown, 3. then play dead.
open field it goes 1.catch, 2. play continues(whatever that is), 3. play is dead.
in other words a touchdown
Thank you.
The Redskin homers though will call you an idiot, and shout you down for your incompetance.
Great post.
Everyone except you guys must be Redkins homers then because you are the only ones ing the call was wrong.
Are you saying that is incorrect Tpark?
From the biggest 'skins homer paper of them all

Where you at ?
ing biased media.

http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercu...s/13575778.htmThough the catch was made, Shepherd lost control when he hit the ground and the pass was ruled incomplete. Bucs Coach Jon Gruden challenged the play, but officials upheld the call, citing the rule that the ground can cause an incompletion when a receiver is trying to gain possession of a pass.
I can do this all night long.
Where are you ers at? I want you to come in and admit how wrong you are.
DAmn, the ing Washington Homers are all over Florida!!!!

People who don't understand this rule, and that the correct call was made, should have "moron" stamped on every post they make on a football topic.
I just want the dip s to come back in here and admit how ing stupid they are.
I HATE the Skins and I thought the call was correct.
someone needs a nap.I just want the dip s to come back in here and admit how ing stupid they are
Karma is a .

argue whatever you want, as long as you want.
Bottomline? Redskins Win, 17-10. , even Gruden said it is what it is, and let it go.
But you bangwagoning bitter es will hate no matter what. So go ahead...you think Skinsfans give a ? Your team is home. Ours is alive. We'll take it as long as it lasts.
At least SOME of you had the honor to give props and to those of you, I salute and say Thanks from one NFL fan to another.
And the Seahawks are toast.
Hope your ready Mr. Long. MAY THE BEST TEAM WIN...
I'm glad as the Skins offense looked like crap. When we struggle (yeah, i said WE, I've been a fan for 19 years, blow me if you don't like it...) so anyway, when WE struggle one game, the next will be a good one. And Tampa had the best ranked D in the league and even though the passing was pathetic, The Skins still managed to outrush the Bucs. Not bad at all.
And yeah, Simms showed some moxy...as soon as he learns NOT to throw easy passes into the arms of opposing linebackers, he should be real good.... ...he even won UT a championship...oh wait...![]()
by the way, as awesome a game as that was and as big a Redskins fan as i am...
it's all fixed. it's all bull . it's a show for vegas. just fyi.
i coulda sworn we were headed for OT, and that dude Should Have caught that TD, BUT, he was wide open on the next one for another TD and simms lofted it in the endzone instead of hitting him in stride at the 10, where the guy could have walked in....too bad, so sad...
Tparkay, i figure, if your hatin? Me and my teams are doing something right...
by the way, can you give me a link of where you said the nfl conspirators wanted the skins to move on, prior to today. not doubting...just asking. thanks.![]()
by all means, count your chickens.![]()
what about the refs? the one ref signaled incomplete IMMEDIATELY!![]()
That was the right call obviously. A lot of people just didn't know the rule.
But sorry 'Skins fans, this was your hey day. With Washington's anemic offense, they won't win next week.
it looked anemic vs the bucs. The bucs have a pretty good D if they were ranked #1 in the NFL.
i was afraid of seattle BEFORE this game. BUT, after seeing the Skins struggle to win today and barely hold on? the seahawks are toast. It's just like Tpark said...The NFL wants the Skins in the Championship Game. Bring on the Bears!!!
Washington will play at Seattle in an NFC divisional game at 4:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Jan. 14 (FOX).

Redskins Head to Seattle In Next Round

The Redskins are headed to Seattle! With Washington's 17-10 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Saturday, the Redskins will play the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Divisional playoff round.
The game will be held at Qwest Field in Seattle on Saturday, Jan. 14, at 4:30 p.m. ET. It will be the first time ever that the Redskins and Seahawks will face each other in the postseason.
The Seahawks are the top seed in the NFC playoffs. They finished with a 13-3 record.
In Week 4, on Oct. 2, the Redskins defeated the Seahawks 20-17 at FedExField.
Washington built 14-3 and 17-10 leads, but had to fend off a late comeback by the Seahawks. The Redskins won in overtime 20-17 when rookie kicker Nick Novak nailed a game-winning 39-yard field goal.
The Seahawks, coached by Mike Holmgren, had a chance to win the game in regulation when Seattle cornerback Kelly Herndon intercepted a tipped pass, giving the Seahawks the ball at the Redskins' 34-yard line. Kicker Josh Brown came in to attempt a 47-yard field goal, but the ball plunked off the left crossbar.
In overtime, the Redskins won the coin toss and marched downfield on 11 plays, never letting the Seahawks have a chance on offense. Two key plays stood out: quarterback Mark Brunell's 18-yard scramble on third down and Santana Moss's 30-yard reception, also on third down.
Brunell was impressive in the win, completing 20-of-36 passes for 226 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. He was sacked twice. Clinton Portis rushed for 90 yards on 25 carries, while Moss had six catches for 87 yards.
Seattle boasts the league's MVP in Shaun Alexander, who finished with 1,880 rushing yards on 370 carries, with 28 touchdowns. The six-year NFL veteran played alongside Redskins' left tackle Chris Samuels and defensive tackle Cornelius Griffin at Alabama.
The Redskins kept Alexander in check most of the Week 4 game, but he ripped off a 34-yard run late in the third quarter to set up his 3-yard touchdown run. Then in the fourth quarter, his 17-yard scamper helped set up another touchdown. Alexander finished with 98 rushing yards on 20 carries.
Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck was 26-of-38 for 242 yards and one touchdown. Bobby Engram was the top receiver with nine catches for 106 yards, while Darrel Jackson had seven receptions for 55 yards and one touchdown.
skins were due a bad game on the o
they had scored 3o or more points the last 3 games
but they won a bad offensive game
they willl have to play better next week but they are capable of doing that
I fell better now that Kori is going against us...she is on a losing steak in big games.

Tpark, why can't you ever just admit you're wrong? Is it that hard for you? Just man up and say, I was WRONG. Damn.
Gordon is just an idiot. The same rule applies in the endzone. How can you score a touchdown if you never have possesion of the ball? Possesion of the ball on a play like that means holding onto it after you hit the ground. It isn't brain surgery.
Also, I'm afraid I think Kori is right. I think the Redskins have probably gone as far as they can. Especially with all of the injuries they currently have. Man, watching Wynn break his arm was bad. The moment I saw the collision I knew it was a break.
However, anything is possible, and I still have hope so hopefully they can man up (unlike Tpark) and pull it out.
Their offense can play much better, but they haven't for a couple of weeks.
The only possible saving grace is, as one of the columnists in the Post pointed out, that Gibbs will treat this game as a loss from the offensive end and will really work on things for next week.
