I just watched her 30 minute Meal show for the first time a few weeks ago. I must admit, the first couple of times I watched it, I really liked her. However, the more shows I watched, the more annoying she got. She seems waaaaaaaaaay too happy and perky cooking a damn meal in the kitchen. And I HATE when she does that thing where she talks out of the side of her mouth like she's trying to have a personable conversation with you through the TV.

However, I don't like over-excited, happy people which explains why she gets on my nerves. But I can definitely see the appeal she has to the normal population. Plus, her meals usually turn out pretty good (although I've never tried to cook any of them).

I must be the only person on the planet who doesn't watch the Food Channel.

There are two of us. That bores me to death. Cooking it is bad enough, I don't want to have to watch it being cooked too.

Although I do own two of Rachel's 30 minute meal cookbooks and I use some of the recipes out of them. I only bought them because they looked interesting in the store. I had never heard of her before I saw the books. But the recipes are really good and they are easy to adapt if you want to make them healthier.
