Terry hits the 17-footer for Dallas, 75-69.
Pau is having more success, but he's still playing Charmin-like soft.

BobbyJack hits a three from the top of the arc to close it to three, Dirk misses then picks up his third foul on a Gasol shot attempt. Pau hits both, it's 75-74 with 3:27 left.
Better rebounding making a big difference for Memphis in the 3rd. Bobby Jackson gives them some nice toughness; between BJax and Eddie Jones, they have a couple of guys with playoff swagger.
Battier has been nails for the Grizz all night long, too.
Mavs have struggled even with some open looks, but Daniels with a nice cut, no Memphis help, and a crowd-aiding dunk.
wow i cant believe memphis is hanging in there. this looks like its gonn be a pretty damn good series if it stays compe ive like this.

I think that if Gasol decides he wants to play with some agression, the Grizz have the horses to hang with the Mavericks for a few games. I think Dallas is legitimately a le contender and I'd be shocked if Memphis beat them. But I also think the Grizz bring a little more grit than they have in past years and their depth has been their calling card for years now. Having a legit player in front of Miller makes it much more comfortable to bring him off the bench, and he's got the ability to create all sorts of problems with his range and his ability to slash to the basket.
The Grizz are shooting over 60% through almost all of 3 quarters. When they cool off in the 4th, the Mavs will have the opportunity to open the game up.
Did AJ just shut Cuban up? He was shouting, and then he seemed to look at the bench, say OK and shut up.
Dirk with the fadeaway ... BJack loses it to Harris after a nice Battier offensive board, Battier with the foul on Stack. Stack hits two, back to an 81-76 lead with just under a minute to go.

Another observation: the series seems to have developed subplot #1: Battier vs. Stackhouse. That matchup is getting physical and heated.

wow the mavs shoot more running one handers then i have ever seen. gasol scores. dallas still leads 83-78. did stockton just compare the mavs defense to the spurs?

Grizz with 10 rebounds (4 offensive) in the third quarter, still trail Dallas 29-16 overall.
Grizzles could easily win their first playoff game but we'll have to see what happens
