Hey Ps4leader! I've been waiting for a fan from Sato's home country to show up here! Welcome!
Sato is my adopted new Spur for this season and I am predicting he will do well. Good luck to Romaine.
Kori and TimVP, may I have a Central African Republic Flag just for this season to show my support for Sato? C'mon please? I wanna flag!!!!!!!!!!
This is awesome. I have argued with the fans from most of the other countries in this thread, but you are the first Italian SpurFan I have met, and even cooler, you have been a fan about as long as I have. Bonjourno. I look forward to arguing with you in the future.
Oh, God. The Kiss of Death. See: Heal, Shane.
And, not to stereotype you tonillo, but if you happen to have any, shall we say, connections, if you'd like to take a contract out on whottt, well, let's just say that we can probably take up a collection. This is awesome. I have argued with the fans from most of the other countries in this thread, but you are the first Italian SpurFan I have met, and even cooler, you have been a fan about as long as I have. Bonjourno. I look forward to arguing with you in the future.

Nice job of pissing off all the Aussie fans in this thread...ShoogarKerry...and before Heal my adopted player was Manu...so there!
Argentina is the best basketball team of the world in this time. It should be more argentina´s player in the NBA, like Oberto and Scola.
That was a coincidence - that I start keening basketball.
I met someone who was interested in NBA. He has got aa NBA TV game and I was looking for a team - first it was NJ but soon I changed it on SA- I start winning games!
I sad ok.
I met Dave, Sean etc. It was summer 1995. So I begin cheering Spurs with the begining of 95/96 season.
On (public- for everybody) tv they were jut showing 45minutes Wensdey games on Fridays. And a magazine NBA Action. Only All-Star game and the finals were live. I didn't had an internet than. I watched every, every game that was on tv.![]()
And now I love that organization. I coudn't imagine better team. Better people on that team ( I mean not only on the court).
But for 4 years from now I don't have NBA games at my house.
F***![]()
I only saw about 15 games last year at my friends(not close one) house. I recorded them and I watch them(damn) on video.
S*** I don't have money to buy that frickin decoder from the station who have rights from NBA.
OK that's too much.
I hope you could read this because I'm not feeling comfortable in English.
All in all through coinsidence to true love.
Ps. Is a coinsidence that Tim Duncan start playing basketball after "Hugo"?
Hi from Germany.
I am probably one of the biggest spurs fans over here. I have been to San Antonio in 1996 just to see the Spurs play. It way without a doubt one of the greatest things ever. I watched the the games against the Suns (17 in a row!!!) Kings and Bullets. I also traveled to Milano to see Timmy at the McDonalds Championship in 1999.
I am really looking forward to the upcomming season. I hope the Spurs will win another championship but it will be very tough.
Greetings![]()

P.S. Please excuse my mistakes I am still improving my english.![]()
Wow, welcome aboard. Make yourself at home.
Don't worry about your English, it's fine. In fact, better than a lot of people on the forum.

I'm from Canada
Started liking the Spurs during the Ice Age and then continued when two of my favourite college players (#50, #21) followed suit. I even named my Grade 6 basketball team the Spurs then had to explain to the rest of the players who the Spurs were since they only knew the Celtics and Lakers.
It's nice to see some Filipino Spurs fans in here.
I've been a Spurs fan since David Robinson's rookie season and up to an extent, since George Gervin's thanks to betamax tapes that my relatives used to send me from the States. My first live Spurs game came just this year in that playoff game between the Lakers and the Spurs. It was the first I think where Parker had an insane game. Did I save lots of money for plane tickets, etc and was planning of staying for the second game. Pity that my sister got sick and I had to return to the Philippines and fill in for her spot as a volunteer in the recently concluded Philippine presidential elections. I got jeered when the Lakers swept 4 games (tough to live in a Laker country).
The only time I ever got to San Antonio again was when Manny Pacquiao beat Marco Antonio Barrera in the Alamodome.
Welcome to the forum, Heretic. Hope you enjoy your stay.
Thanks a lot. I am wondering if I am the only german here. This is by far the best Spurs board I found so far. Its sad that only a few Spurs games are broadcasted here in Germany. The first game I will be able to see is Spurs- Heat. The only way to stay up to date is WOAI.com and NBA.com and of course this board. I really hope to come back to SA within the next 3 years to take a look at the new SBC Center. Is it better than the Alamo Dome?
By the way: Is there a timetable for Linton Johnsons return?
I think you may be the only German poster so far. During most games, there's a lot of people in our chatroom that will give you updates and play-by-play on what's going on during the game.
The SBC Center is completely different than the 'Dome. Less spacious, but very up-to-date.
Linton is expected to be out two+ weeks -- he is walking with an aircast now to prevent him from banging his ankle.
Well not much Europe in here. Welcome GermanStreakyshooter.
I am amazed that this is the 1st German Spurs fan I have ever seen on any forum with all the German influences in San Antone and such.
Wilkommen von deinen Nachbar in Holland!
Thanks for the information!![]()
@polandprzem: Thanks a lot!
@alamo50: Danke!I think a lot of german BB fans support the Mavs because of Dirk Nowitzki. So there aren't a lot of Spurs fans over here.
I will go to bed now.
Thanks again for the warm welcome.

I am icelandic and became a Spurs fan while attending UTSA from 1994-1997.
I have yet to visit SBC center but plan on coming this season. Anyone have good tickets for me?![]()
- brave
Spurs fan since '81-'82. I went to the McDonalds Open in '99. Born and still living in Milan.
PolandPrzem i remember the good, old days of the NBA in polish tv. There wasn't much , so you had to cherish every minute of it.
I started following the NBA thanks to a Spurs - Jazz game I saw on polish tv. My dad lived in San Antone so it naturally drew my attention and i became a huge DRob fan instantly. One of the first games I remember pretty well was Magic Johnsons farewell All Star game with that crazy three point hook shot or whatever - there was something nuts about that play. Anyway, you could count me in as a hardcore NBA and Spurs fan ever since then although most my friends at the time cheered for the Bulls or later for O'Neal and the Magic. I had since moved to SA and cannot complain about the local NBA or Spurs coverage. I always thought the Spurs had a very good chance to win it all, almost every year since Robinson was drafted. I did, like many of y'all i'm sure suffer through a number of dissapointing play offs but finally experienced my team win the big one in 99. Before the two championships, my favorie Spurs teams were Robinson/ mings/Elliott/Anderson/Strickland back in '92 or '93 and 95's team that featured DRob/Rodman/Elliott/DelNegro/AJ. I thought Spurs had a chance to go all the way with both of those teams, although i have to admitt that first team didnt play much d aside from David - sure looked good on paper though, and the second, well i blame most of it on Rodman.
Anyhow, PolandPrzem its good to hear from a fellow polish fan who remembers those days.
Do any of you other internationals remember listening to Jay Howard when the WOAI games were free to listen to?
He is still to this day one of the best commentators I have ever listened to.
Elliott for three..............BANG!
Is Jay still involved in basketball in SA? I would like to meet him when I come next year.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
I see the rising tendecy of international fans logging in here.
Ps. Where did you get the jabol130 nick from?Preaty much like good polish stereotype nick

Yes the organization is almost perfect but I see someone named Holt. That drives me mad.
