I'm not conviced that we would be willing to trade 1 bloated contract (Rasho) for what will almost certaintly be another (Nazr). I'd say something else is cooking... maybe something big.
    I get the feeling too.
This trade wouldnt make sense if the spurs werent planning on doing something.
I mean, with Rasho now gone and Nazr on the way out, the spurs wouldnt pull that trade if they didnt have something in mind.
    maybe.. >>
    Hmm....
    Nah.

Yeah it's hard for me to believe that Nazr will be wearing the silver and black next year.

Yeah, Brent Barry used to be a good FT shooter, too. Then he became a Spur.

Damn, look at everyone in here.

    1) You think this means we're bringing Nazr back?

    2) From the description of Boner, he seems like a glorified Sean Marks.

    3) Erik Williams is a beast. I hope we don't cut him, if he's who I think he is ... he's a solid defender and would be a great role player.

Even though Rasho turned out to be too slow for the Spurs' offense, it is somewhat sad to see him go. He was a good soldier. But a great move budget-wise.

I highly doubt it's gonna be something Earth shattering ... but the feeling of the trade has cap space writting all over it. Ben Wallace is certaintly a name that will be talked about, but again, I highly doubt somebody of that magnitude.

I didn't pay too much attention to Bonner. Can he stay with Dirk on D?

You guys will be mad when you see that Eric Williams is old and can't play anymore, and Matt Boner is the worst defender in the league and has terrible handles. Also Boner hits the side of the backboard when anyone contests his shot, or gets an airball.

The best part of this deal for you guys is probably the draft pick...but the "Red Rocket"(Boner) is pretty solid acquisition.

Don’t let the door hit you on the way out. Basically we’re trading an expensive non-athletic big for a cheap non-athletic big.

That $15mil next year is pretty cool if it’s true.

    Don't. Seriously! Please!

the suicide watch will be over once the Spurs draft someone "dreamy"

Maybe if we dye Bonner's hair, angel won't know the difference.
And quit that too. I am really sad about this. It isn't funny to me.

that 3 point fg% and that height are very interesting... I could see him shooting 45+ with the Spurs.

When does the NBA allow teams to resume trading? Is the dealine lifted after the conclusion of the NBA finals?
My guess is the Spurs had this deal done for a while.

They just couldn't announce it until the finals were over, per league rules.
