I saw this one game in Boston where Ward hit a couple of threes for us. Maybe Beno would have beaten him out, but then again I don't see how he didn't beat NVE too.
I can remember a couple of good things NVE did during the regular season.
I can't remember if Ward hit a single shot while he was here. Beno would have beaten out Charlie Ward.

Avery's last season in San Antonio was 2000-01.
Anthony Carter only played in SA for the first few games of the 2003-04 season before getting cut.
That wasn't Carter. That was Chuckie Brown.
All this and nobody brought up Tarkanian.
They did say Lloyd Daniels.
The one and only good thing from the Tark era was the little arena blimp they had painted to look like a shark.
That was pretty cool.![]()

Jack Haley.
Paul Griffin
Haley cannot be nominated.
He was cojoined with Rodman
I didnt think NVE completely sucked. He ran the offense fine. Didnt hit as many shots as was expected, but ran the offense. I dont recall him effing up too bad in the playoffs. He was a slow on D, but he was old so that is to be expected with an old guy with bad knees. He did nothing to warrant being called the "worst Spur of all time."
His own personal towel boy slash cheerleader.
didn't the spurs have 2 players by the name of Charles Smith?
I can't believe someone mentioned Jaren Jackson as one of the worst Spurs of all time. That's insane....he belongs on the lits of postseason heroes(and getting lazy after getting a nice contract)...but no way is he one of the worst Spurs ever.
My vote goes to Anthony Carter...followed by Charles Smith.
what about mo cheeks! He was a good player but he never liked it in San Antonio.
One was liked, one was a 7 foot stiff.
I'm sure you can figure out which one these guys are hating on.![]()
Spider-Man woulda done well with us if he hadn't acquired all those health problems. I know we traded him... but a big part of that was because of his health.
Really?
I thought a big part of trading him was to get Kerr back in SA. Spider-man was a of a player. That dude had RIDICULOUS ups. I remember the play he got injured on was where he went up for arebound and got undercut. The dude's crotch was at eye-level with the defender.
That said, his outside jumper was suspect and he wasn't exactly a physical player. He'd be a nice player to bring off the bench though, a 10th man type of the Maurice Evans mold.
highlight of his life was that game against michael jordan where he blocked a couple... if not a few of his shots.
we did trade him in the deal for steve kerr... and im not 100% sure but im confident one of the reasons was because he has some condition... i need to look it up.
i'm too ing tired to look up his info
