Really there's gotta be one on the internet.
FYI, Frans played at OSU during our Final Four run here to SA a couple years ago. Because we were so stacked he never hit the field much. He was a rugby GOD in his native South Africa. He had actually never played basketball before he was brought to OSU. Sutton wanted to model him after Big Country Reeves, but at least Reeves had a basketball background. Frans never panned out, so he transfered to Southwest Baptist. He is simply huge but unbelievably mobile for his size. The problem is, when the ball comes to him he looks at it like a six year old picking up a baby bird that just fell from its nest, and doesn't know what the to do with it. Haven't seen him since he left OSU, but if Sutton couldn't teach him to play, doubtful SWB coaches had any better luck.

Which of these people have a real chance at joining the team besides Ian, Viktor, Sergei and CJ and maybe Baston?
Where can I find some info on Donta Smith? Couldn't find anything about summer league on the Spurs site.
Never mind. I googled him and found some stuff. Not much on his progress--or lack of it I guess since Atlanta sent him to D League and then declined to resign him at the end of the year.
Frans is unbelievably athletic. The dude has a 36 inch vertical leap. He would be perfect for pop to mold him but he is definately someone that needs to be worked with, not an overnight sensation.

His vertical is 29.5 inches.
thats still purty darn good.![]()
I hope Melvin Sanders makes it. He's a good defender
Is there any truth to the rumor that Sergei Karaulov is actually the player PJ Carlesimo is talking about in the EA Sports NBA Live commercial?![]()
29.5 is pretty bad. Morrison had a 30 inch vertical and they were talkin about how bad it was on ESPN during the draft.
It's not terrible for a guy as tall as Frans, but it's not 36.
