@ Jekka
A few more suggestions:
Panic! At The Disco -- "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" "Time to Dance"
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah -- "In This Home on Ice" "Details of the War"
Feist -- "Mushaboom" "Now at Last"
Bloc Party -- "Plans" "This Modern Love"
I have no idea what you like, so here's a bunch of random suggestions from various genres:
Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers -- straightahead jazz from the 50s-80s
The Baldwin Brothers -- current acid jazz
Esquivel -- space age lounge music from the 50s-60s
Toots and the Maytals -- classic ska/reggae from the 60s; Toots is still around and touring
Telepopmusik -- current downtempo/electropop
Cubanismo -- relatively recent cuban son music with a great horn section
This Mortal Coil -- downtempo 80s goth with a lot of texture
Digable Planets -- likable hip hop from the early 90s
Edit: updated with descriptions so people know WTF these are.

That's fantastic, thanks! I'd never heard her work before.
toots and the maytals are great, i would suggest something from the gladiators if you like reggae, and maybe some jimmy cliff. , just download the harder they come soundtrack or the rockers soundtrack, they both have excellent reggae from multiple bands.
damn i love that movie.
A couple of months ago I got to see Horsemouth at a Groundation show. He made a guest appearance and played drums with Groundation. The guy still rocks. Got him to sign my Rockers vinyl too.
Alicia Villarreal is also good.
i have the cd.
Majorto the highlighted.
Especially Esquivel.
I remember a few years ago reading that there was going to be a biopic about Juan Garcia Esquivel coming out starring John Leguizamo, but looks like it never got off the ground. Too bad.
Could only find "A Lover's Question" and "Feeling Good" but I likes. Great suggestion.
Has anybody ever listened to Apocalptica? Or however you spell it.They're pretty good.
