I was not meaning to sound arrogant, but you were accusing us of pissing in Angel's cereal, and that is simply not true. I offer wisdom (when you are an old fart you get this) and my only agenda here is to get Angel to go into this with open eyes and acquire some inside info that she can use.


BTW, sorry for telling you to MYOB, I know that you are just trying to be excited for her. We both have her best interests at heart and that is whet is important.

You can only learn so much about a city from the links (losing!) and the casino (also losing!). He certainly did not have our kids in tow for those activities.
And I will never forgive the time I caught him breaking open our kid's piggy bank at 10 pm to place a bet on a Maryland game. Pathetic.

I'd have no problem keeping my 9 & 10 year olds entertained in Vegas for 8 days, but mine have a decent temperment and I have a good imagination. God only knows if the kids V. will be taking care of turn out to be the spawn of the devil or not.

Jim is right, the Las Vegas Hilton is off the strip, so you'll need a car to go anywhere -- you can't walk.

I get paid $100 dollars a day.

I will have a rail pass, a debit card, and cash so the kids and I can go do stuff.

We will bring games and books etc, for when we want to lounge in the hotel.

The way I look at is I would have to be working full time somewhere for that week.

This is an opportunity for me to see somewhere new and take a few limo rides at no expense to me.

The kids and I get along so watching them is no problem. The parents mentioned that I would have some free time; I am not concerned about it.

All I know is that I have been praying about what I should be doing and God sent me this opportunity.

I am confident that all will go well and everyone will have a safe good time.

Just off the top of my head, I know I will like riding in a limo, seeing all the bright lights and different buildings ( I can't wait to see the huge guitar! ), getting to stay in the Hilton ( even if it is an old one),and getting three good meals a day for free.

The kids are going to be well behaved, I am going to be super sitter, and we are all going to have a marvelous time.
