If youre going to attend any other games I would go to the Judson/Madison game this week. Madison is ranked like 13 in state so it should be a really good game as usual. Other than that another would be Smithson Valley vs. Madison when they should both be in the top 10 when they play eachother

Um, I hate to break it to you there, skippy.

That game (Judson-Madison) was last night.

Madison-Smithson Valley was a couple of weeks ago, IIRC.

Yeah my bad, I lose track of my days, but like I said it was a great game and a big upset for Judson in 26-5A. This sets up a big showdown between Smithson Valley and Judson now for the district le, assuming Churchill loses another game soon.

Yeah, California is awesome. Dude, I'm not even from Texas and I know that the above quote is absolutely re ed. California is "rad" what with its smog, power shortage, crime rate, cost of living, earthquakes, fires, etc.

I know that since you're only 14 you don't care about many of these things but once you are able to sit at the grown up table, you'll want to move out of that terrible place.

Why? Because our JV teams could mop the floor with most of your varsity teams?

Bands, football, history, culture, food, people, citys, etc.

Are you saying California is better because your JV team scored a touchdown on some other scrubs?

I went out for drinks a couple of nights ago with a old college friend who coaches at Trinity in Euless. He was telling me that the next big shakeup in Texas HS football is superchurches like Lakewood in Houston, Fellowship in Dallas, and Shoreline in Austin sponsoring teams for their home-schooled high school age member kids and forming their own league.

Now THAT would be interesting. With the money those places rake in, can you imagine what an uber-church football team could look like without the UIL's restrictions?

David, it was a serious question along with my serious statement up top about you contributing one point to your team's victory.

How often does a kicker account for more than 14 percent of their teams's scoring?

    ???

I count 3 from each state. And doesn't the #1 team shoot your whole point to ?

Now I'm not arguing that Texas doesn't breed good football, that would be stupid of me. Texas highschool football is something special. Saying that Texas crushes California when it comes to football is not true. Show a little respect where it is due.

I didn't even realize that Smithson Valley was ranked 20th in the country. Not bad.
