Beno wasdoing laps on the sideline before the game. Hopefully he is right back in the mix soon.

It was weird to look over in early warm ups and not have a clue who anyone was.
I can't wait until there are a few road games so I can sit down and really learn who is who.

The stats on the jubro tron was on advertsement instead of the numbers for most of the game- hopefully that was a technical difficulty and not the new norm.
I was busy at work all night training on our new computer system, so I didn't see a lot.
It sounded like Gino had a good game though.

Jackie Butler with 7 points, 2 boards and 2 steals in 8 minutes? Sounds promising.

With these kinds of stats, I'm hoping Butler is our starting center!

If you look at the boxscore on NBA.com Jackie Butler isn't even on the list of the roster.

It was awesome being back in the arena again. My red dot won the dot race, which is a clear sign that we'll be winning the championship.

I kept laughing at how many guys we had suited up versus the Magic. During the national anthem, the Magic had like 8 guys lined up and the Spurs were crammed into a huge line. During the game, the bench completely wrapped around the corner.

Sydney Duncan has dad's hair. God bless her.

Hedo was there. Manu went over to their bench and gave him a big hug as they were warming up before the second half.

Sydney meet my friend hair relaxer. Or maybe she'll rock a fro like her dad did last year.

Hedo looked sharp in his suit.

M- I got my first up close look at the Spurs R.V. It was parked outside as I left work.
    It's so nice!

Lots of what I saw tonight was pretty underwhelming. Butler was a nice surprise -- I liked that he went right at Howard and attacked the rim. He was pretty bad on a couple of occasions on the defensive end.

I'd take that, though, over what Elson offered tonight, which was nothing to speak of on either end. If it was possible for a player to ac ulate truly negative numbers in a linescore, Elson might have done that tonight.

Bonner was hit-and-miss, but he was at least aggressive and assertive.

Given who he was playing with for most of the 4th Quarter, I thought Jacque Vaughn was fairly impressive. For what he'll be asked to do, it seems likely that he'll meet that expectation.

Of the non-guaranteed guys, I thought that Charles Lee was fairly impressive. He seemed to have a good feel, showed good handle and a nice burst in bringing the ball up against pressure, was aggressive on the offensive end and showed some nice court awareness with an easy drop-off to Butler for an uncontested dunk.

The starters played a good first quarter, I thought, but it was hard to get much of a read against such a depleted Orlando squad.

The Magic put up a uva fight though and they have some good shooters.

Got an interesting look at Brent at the PG spot. I thought he ran the floor well, but he's going to have a hard time guarding some of the quicker, smaller PGs.

Sad thing is that this will be like a B+ game for Elson

How was Melzer? Still can't believe he is getting a run in real preseason games, there are many better American players who played in Australia last season.

He didn't do anything. He didn't suck, he just didn't have any opportunities and was a non-factor. He played 8 minutes.

Hmm, ok, cheers. Hope he succeeds just can't believe he is even there. The team he played for over here actually has 2 new imports and both of them are at least as good as he ever was.

I also believe the the Breakers (Melzers old team) have some type of relationship with the Spurs happening according to a magazine over here. Spurs really do get after it globally.

Is Timmy in good shape? Seems over the last 2/3 years there has been times where he seemed a little bit heavy. I've always thought the lighter Timmy was a better player.

Tim looks to be in really good shape. I think the Spurs are saying he was lighter last year and gained a little weight (muscle) this summer.

Here's my thoughts on the game.
