Because you sound WAY too "okay" with this breakup and, speaking from my "female" point of view, your shallowness is waving a big ing red flag in my face.
But it's all good, and the breakup is probably the best thing for you if you cannot remain faithful at school. That is a hard (pardon the pun) road to hoe (again with the pun). Hahaha.

Before I went in to the hospital, things were not going as they should. We were going through a rough patch. When I was admitted to the ER, she stayed for an hour and then left. I was hurt by that and saw that as a red flag of my own. During the week I was in there, her visits seemed a bit cold. During one visit, she stops by for a half an hour the tells me she is leaving to go have dinner with her friends. It was like.............Thanks for stopping by , have fun with your friends while I enjoy my meal through my IV. When I got out of the hospital the next day she tells me it isn't working out. Nice timing huh? I convince her that after four years, we should make a joint effort to work on our relationship. She agrees. A week passes. First words out of her mouth when I walk in the door from Vegas are again, this isn't working out. Again, wonderul timing. Why not tell me before my Vegas trip so I can get some sinning done. My week there by myself kind of gave me time to think over and prepare myself for this. If I don't sound to upset its because I'm not. I'm a bit saddened by it, but I'm not upset. happpens for a reason and I'm not going to fight it.
After that story I vote for Keeping the tapes
I have decided I am keeping the tapes. She hasn't made a big fuss about it yet so maybe she's over it. If I do get into another serious relationship with another girl that will be the time I destroy the old tapes and hopefully start making new ones. What can I say, I'm a producer at heart.

If she becomes famous, then you can cash in by selling them to the tabloids....put them in a safe deposit box for safe keeping.
Get blank tapes, and smash them up, give her the smashed tapes and tell her they are the ones...she will be none the wiser.
If she does not become famous in next 5 years, then use them to "reminisce" betw girlfriends.

I still have a badass homemade video of me and my ex gf and I told her to dream the on when we broke up and she wanted it.

Wow, I haven't been on the board much lately, great thread Annex. It is a really a legit question I think, but I think you made the right decision to keep them. Since you obviously have no intentions of using them for evil purposes I think it is more than fair that you keep them, even if you have to do it in a shady way. Copy them onto your computer and destroy the originals in front of her, that way you can compress them with WinRaR and password protect them like somebody suggested, plus you'll have them in digital form and that way the video quality will always be good. I wish I had video of myself with a few of my exgirlfriends, it would be nice to take a little trip down memory lane every once in a while.
