No to Jax.
Spurs need a swingman who plays good D and rebounds well. Jax doesn't do that anymore and his contract is ugly.
Rumor from friends in the Bay Area is that the Warriors are also looking to move Jason Richardson.

since when does Jack not play D? When his coach is confident, he's usually put on the opposition's greatest scorer. He also gets to the line a lot (see NBA.com player stats) and is a turnover machine (and we all know pop loves those kinds of guys)
June 2003.
Indiana tightens its grasp on the whitest team in the nba award
That's interesting.
What's their plan after this trade for now? AHarrington at the 4 and Ellis/Richardson starting at 2/3 with Barnes/SJax/Pietrius off the bench?
Biedrens at the 5
Harrington at the 4
SJax at the 3 until JRich gets healthy
Monte at the 2
Baron at the 1
smmmmmokin!
as in getting smoked out of games
Meanwhile, Indy is back to being a true contender in the east, stopping their backslide.
Damn, this was a two-way salary dump. Bad contracts for bad contracts. I'll have to digest it to figure out who got the better end of the deal.
However, there's a good chance that Ike Diogu turns out to be the best player in the trade.
I would not mind Pietrus or Barnes in SA. GS seems a little thin at the 4/5, SA does not have the assets to make a deal with them. They don't need backcourt players...
A deal that would work out is Pietrus for Oberto.
Another deal would be: Oberto/Udrih/ Williams for Jasikevicius/ Pietrus
Dunleavy may still be on his way to the Clippers--- for Maggette.
According to three NBA executives, the Pacers are now in talks to move Dunleavy to the Los Angeles Clippers for dynamic swingman Corey Maggette. Indiana has been after Maggette since last season when they were looking to trade Ron Artest.
