What could your grandmother take that's homeopathic? And has she tried it?
there's alot she could do. i'll name a few. fresh pomegranate juice is very helpful. she could replaced her fillings. mercury is murder on nerves. she could avoid getting flu shots. flu shots contain the following fillers

Do you want any of the following vaccine cons uents in YOUR bloodstream?

    • Ethylene glycol (antifreeze)

    • Phenol, also known as carbolic acid (this is used as a disinfectant, dye)

    • Formaldehyde, a known cancer-causing agent

    • Aluminum, which is associated with Alzheimer's disease and seizures and also cancer producing in laboratory mice (it is used as an additive to promote antibody response)

    • Thimerosal (a mercury disinfectant/preservative) can result in brain injury and autoimmune disease

    • Neomycin and Streptomycin (used as antibiotics) have caused allergic reaction in some people.
i obviously cut and pasted that one.

she could eat plenty of good omega-3 fish oil

    these are a few.

And for the record, I'm not trying to bring you to the dark side of medicine.

You're certainly en led to your opinion, nor do I think you're an idiot for believing what you do. But just because I don't believe the same thing as you, does not make me or anyone else here that doesn't, ignorant.
    ignorance is being closed minded.

Janda's team found that THC blocks an enzyme called acetylcholinesterase, which speeds the formation of amyloid plaque in the brains of people with Alzheimer's disease.

The Alzheimer's drugs Aricept and Cognex work by blocking acetylcholinesterase. When tested at double the concentration of THC, Aricept blocked plaque formation only 22 percent as well as THC, and Cognex blocked plaque formation only 7 percent as well as THC.

I don't know what it is, but....maybe you should bring your grandma some special brownies!!

    "difference between life & death".

Medical Errors - A Leading Cause of Death

The JOURNAL of the AMERICAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION (JAMA) Vol 284, No 4, July 26th 2000 article written by Dr Barbara Starfield, MD, MPH, of the Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health, shows that medical errors may be the third leading cause of death in the United States.

The report apparently shows there are 2,000 deaths/year from unnecessary surgery; 7000 deaths/year from medication errors in hospitals; 20,000 deaths/year from other errors in hospitals; 80,000 deaths/year from infections in hospitals; 106,000 deaths/year from non-error, adverse effects of medications - these total up to 225,000 deaths per year in the US from iatrogenic causes which ranks these deaths as the # 3 killer. Iatrogenic is a term used when a patient dies as a direct result of treatments by a physician, whether it is from misdiagnosis of the ailment or from adverse drug reactions used to treat the illness. (drug reactions are the most common cause)."

“Let thy food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food.”
    --Hippocrates (460-377 B.C.)

a perfect example of this was the mishandling of my grandfather. the husband of 59 years to my grandmother that's dying of alzheimers. he was told that his kidneys were bad, so he got on dialysis and a whole cabinet full of meds. i'd say a good 3 to 4 years later he switched to a new doctor because he wasn't happy with the one he had. so one sunny day he sees his new doctor and he had great news for him. he told him he didn't need to be on dialysis anymore BECAUSE HE SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN ON IT IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so one pacemaker, one defibrilator, and 1 year later, he dies.

    ignorance is being closed minded.

Well, if closed-minded means that I prefer medical professionals to treat my children rather than some remedy posted by some person I have no idea what their credentials are, how valid their testing methods are, and how relevant the results are, then I guess I'm just ignorant. Because I don't experiment on my children.

Although I will concede at least one thing...I do use warm sweet oil to sooth the pain of my kid's ear infections, and a doctor never told me to do that, my grandmother did.

you've proved my point. if you were to actually READ my postings you would find that they are full researched, tested AND DO ENTED CURES by health prac ioners NOT BY ME. i'm only the messenger. not the researcher, tester AND DO ENTOR of my postings. never claimed that i was, never will.

I wasn't talking as you being the someone ... and don't be so offended that people don't share your view. If I went to my doctor and he told me that cod liver oil was the cure for everything that ailed me, I'd walk out the door and find another doctor. And I don't believe in chiropractors, either.

For all the research and do ented articles that says homeopathy works, there are plenty of articles that also debunk it. But since they were written by MDs, I guess it doesn't count. Did you read those?

doctors have Big Pharma to back them up
alternative health prac ioners have effective cures that don't have Big Pharma to back them up. because....<screams to the people up top> ...EVERYBODY. cures don't line Big Pharma's pockets. which would get more press. why do presidential candidates drop out?..........because they run out of money.

Maybe they should also openly post how much they had to pay in tuition, labs, and books for all of the college and medical school ... and how much they have to pay in malpractice insurance.

I wouldn't mind if they posted their grades.

no, i could really care less what they drive. i'm just using that as an example of how they profit from, in my opinion, doing nothing at all for their patients. maybe that was put too harsh, but i was refering to all of the meds they quickly prescribe to patients. maybe their hearts are in it, but their treatments are far from helpful in my opinion.

i would see an alternative health practioner for any ailments that may arise. i'm defining doctors that prescribe meds that labs formulate. of course, if i get in a nasty car wreck i would definitely, and have, to go to a doctor. i would have no choice in that cer stance.

And that's a just gross generalization and stereotype.
