2008 or Bust.
ty game, but at least the Spurs got the win. Spurs did look especially old out there tonight. Outside of Parker and Ginobili, I can't remember the last time I saw another player scraping for a loose ball on the floor or taking a smart gamble on a steal or energizing the rest of the team. Celtics got back into the game doing just that.
BTW, I loved how the Celtics annoucers seemed completely in love with Parker. They kept putting him in the same ranks as Nash and Kidd. They even said that if Nash weren't in the West, everyone in the league would be talking about Parker.

This was a scrub team we BARELY beat, again showing how old this team is
Barry should be traded now while he still has any value
Parker is the best player in the NBA. The only problem with his game is his assists. I blame Pop's stupid ass offensive philosophy on that.
Damnit, enough with the Barry talk. He's been so friggin consistent, more than a lot of people on the team.
That 4th quarter was an example of the Spurs trying to give their bench players some extra time with the exception of Horry (8 min.). The bench, especially Michael Finley (5 makes on 12 attempts) went cold and didn't play very good D. When Timmy came back in, the Spurs went to him in the post way too much and the Celts took target practice with doubles and forced Timmy into TO after TO (5 in all). TP had too many TOs also.
Elson was a bright spot. Otherwise, typical mail-it-in let down. The Spurs got totally out of rhythm.
On a side note: Finley was hitting some sweet fadaways a la his golden days with the Mavs in the first half.
Too bad he stopped making shots in the second half...
hey.. the spurs won.. they need to win as many games as possible this week, because they are fixin to loose a bunch of them.
How this team is 30-13 with that bench is absolutely amazing. It's common practice in the NBA to slack off with a big lead - it happens all the time to every team. This game means nothing more in the grand scheme than a W or L. Nobody was up for this game, especially after getting such a big lead.
I know, I know... they shouldn't slack. They should have a killer instinct.
..Don't forget Beno and his dumb TOs.
It's hard to get assists when the people you pass to are shooting 30% and are named Finley, Horry, Oberto, and Beno. Steve Nash couldn't get assists on this team.
but tp turnover first half! tim duncan turnover 5 last minute
Beno was very unproductive for the 16 minutes he played. He had very little to show for his PT. His assist/TO ratio is under 2.00 and that won't cut it.
I had a real bad feeling about this game, and know that Al Jefferson is the type of player who could make Duncan look bad. I couldn't bear to see the streak snapped, so I went and played ball instead of watching.
So I'm happy to get back and see any kind of win.
But WTF? This is the worst game blog ever.![]()
hey Carmelo is back.
This season Tim has suckas @$$ in the 2nd half of games and it was no different tonight. going 2-9 against Al Jefferson and the Celtics Frontline is pathetic. I'm not even going to comment on his 2 rebounds and 3 turnovers in the 2nd half...just a simply pathetic 2nd half effort from this team's leader.
Too busy watching 24.![]()
man we are gonna go 1-7 and this road trip
this has to be the worst Spurs team of the Duncan era
amazing how this team manages to get worse as time goes by
unreal
unreal how people are such sniveling little es![]()
I agree, even when we win theres always hate.
As bad as the Spurs have looked this season, they're not THAT bad!!! At 30-13 they must be doing SOMETHING right! Anyway, the Spurs will go 5-3 during the rodeo road trip at worst.
my comments were out of line but I just wish this team would show some signs of hunger regardless of popovich's bull "its hard to be hungry" rant
This team have too much work to do, but all this hate is sick.![]()
