I actually like his blog. He's a nut about some (most) stuff but I appreciate his passion and intelligence about a lot of things.

I am pretty sure Cuban is involved in mavtalk. It's the only forum linked to on mavs.com and I've heard that in the past.

Not a bad idea actually. Anyone got his email address? A mavs version of spurstalk would be great. Format and everything. Kori Ellis is a big part of spurstalk so I don't know if we can find an admin as good as that.

Might work we all know how much he hates the Spurs and if he thinks enough of you guys are hanging out on our forum because the Mavs forums are awful he may step up to the plate.

That's what I thought, too. I figured that board was somehow directly linked to the Mavericks organization.

As an aside, I generally don't despise the Mavericks, but I'm quite put off by many Mavericks' fans. It would be one thing if the vast majority were bringing good basketball viewpoints, the way that some Suns fans did and the way that Detroit fans overwhelmingly did in 2005. Instead, we seem to get mostly venom and smack, with only the occasional good basketball talk mixed in. There are clearly exceptions among individual posters, but on the whole, I don't find that Mavs fans bring much of value to the table.

Perhaps it's just me, and perhaps I'm jaded by having had Mavs fan spit on my friend's 13-year-old daughter at Game 3 of the playoff series last year. In any event, I suppose a variety of viewpoints can't be a bad thing, even if many of the views expressed aren't particularly principled.

One more thing, the thought of Cuban coming around here to spew his garbage takes doesn't seem so far-fetched when I read some of the posts that some of our Mavs friends post around here.

IMO, there are only four Mavs posters that actually contribute to this board: ponky, DubMcDub, stretch, and adrienne. There are several others I think are decent, but they don't really post that much. All the other Mavs fans are just annoying trolls.

I miss throwing "KINGS" stuff out there in the NBA forum to discuss, and sometimes agoraphobia sets in and it's tough to get out of our little forum. Especially since Kings are playing less than desirable b-ball this year.

But IMO there are definitely enough Mavs fans to warrant their own space. Though I never thought I'd see the day this conversation would happen; I was here last year during the playoffs, Mavs fans were NASTY!

Thanks, but no...the P.O.'s aren't going to help Kings. There is a dropoff on other boards as well, naturally. Was a tough year to try and get a Kings forum going, for sure.
