2.0?????![]()
They took off 1.1, but it doesnt even matter, Law should have made that ing layup
even though I was rooting for the aggies, I think the memphis player touched the ball and it stayed in bounds and then it took that long bounce into the cameras on the sidelines
they took 1.1 off. i don't think a&m would have won anyway. of a game, can't wait to hear jgw cry. rest of aggie fans, hats off your team played their hearts out. i thought allen was losing his hair in patches, but he actually cut his hair that way.
To any mavericks fans who are aggie fans: this is exactly how spurs fans felt in every dallas based game of the playoffs series last year.
Aggs got jobbed on that time call, but was still a close tough game. Rod Strickland reigns supreme.
No way
a few of the commentators on CBS agreed with me
ATM has no one to blame but themselves!! Missed layup by law, missed rebounds (especially at end of game), and missed FT's. They had this game won if they one of these three inside 2 minutes!!
Yea, i agree, they have no one to blame but themselves
memphis' rebounding was pretty impressive, they used their bulk
even their pointguard was chode-like, and rippling with muscles
Yea that one big guy they had was a monster
he won't cry, he'll just jump fully onto USC.
doesn't packer agree with everything the refs call?
At least I finally won a vbookie and this helps my bracket
All of you that think that 1 sec. was to much on the out of bounds play were not watching in slow motion..The ball touched the memphis with 3.1 sec. then bounced in bounds before hitting the table out of bounds.. It never touched the line oor ground, thus the play is not dead until ball hits the table. Was still a good play drawn up at the end
Really tough to argue that the aggies got screwed (althought the clock gaffe wasn't fun) when they had a Law lay-up opportunity & 4 chances to get a rebound in the final 10 seconds to put the game away.
Not to mention on the play that the refs goofed, the aggies had thrown the ball away. They were lucky to get it back at all, regardless of time on the clock.
That's irrelevant because the whistle blew immediately. The clock stops on the whistle no matter where the ball is.
It should have been about 2.9 left, although I still think it's tough to complain when you are trying to throw the ball into the stands and get a lucky break from Memphis to get it back at all.
5 rebounds by MEMPHIS LAST 25 SECONDS PATHEIC BY THE AGGS.
I am upset the Ags lost but that wasn't a clock gaffe. The play was reviewed so a whistle didn't seem to be a factor. The ball clearly bounced inbounds and was not o/b until it hit the table. The older ref was kneeling there watching it regular speed and he had a stop watch, so I think they probably got the actual elapsed time correct. Ags were lucky to still have a chance since the Memphis player touched a ball going o/b for an otherwise turnover.
AC Law IV missed that bunny. Then nobody could come up with the rebound. Memphis just took that game.
I got on with the Scotty Farrell radio show on Howard 101 and he and his producer agreed with me that the Aggies got robbed with the clock and they both thought that the earlier foul that sent Memphis to the line with a few seconds left was bull .
Packer wasn't calling the game, it was Verne Lundquist and Bill Raftery.doesn't packer agree with everything the refs call?
well , if scotty said so, that changes everything...
you do realize on the play in question, a&m was trying to toss the ball into press row. they were fortunate to get it back period. i disagree with the clock as well, but tough to when you were lucky to get possession to begin with.
just like it's tough to that you got screwed on a foul call (which was a foul) after Memphis gave you four chances to get a defensive rebound to put the game away.
How is Karma involved in this?
While I think Farrell is a tool who is about as sharp as bag of wet mice....I think Midge is perfectly in his right to celebrate. The Ags lost...they didn't get screwed, they lost. Its sucks but if Aggie fan wants to celebrate what is probably their best basketball season ever...let 'em, they have earned it.
Somewhere Shelby Metcalf is smiling.
