This thread is funny.

The reason most people hate me is because all of my predictions are right:

1. That the Mavs wouldn't win 70.
2. That the Spurs can still compete and run with any athletic team, and in mid-February I said the Spurs are still one of the best teams in the NBA.

While those above statements may be "homer" statements, THEY ARE ALSO TRUE, so S.T.F.U. and have a nice day.

There's a difference between saying BS that isn't true, and saying homer statements that are actually true. Most people don't want to admit that most of what I say is true. Stop living in Mid-February. It's April and the Spurs are 55-21.

Who has the best record since the All-Star Break? I thought so. Mavs fans hate me because SA is the hottest team right now, Spurs fans hate me because their predictions were wrong (That Spurs would barely hit 50 wins and fall to 5th or 6th in the West) and mine actually happened (Spurs finish with HCA and 55+ wins)

Here's other crap people hate me for:

1. I said GS is a better team head-to-head with Dallas. Which is true. Dallas is 1-5 vs GS in 2005-2006 and 2006-2007.
2. That Dirk doesn't have any moves other than jump shooting. IT'S TRUE.
3. The Orlando loss was a fluke. Also true. What happened to Orlando since then, and what happened to SA since then?
4. Only a handful of people cared about Howard and Terry before last year's Spurs series. Still true. Neither one made the original All-Star team this year, original meaning not All-Stars chosen because of an injury to someone already chosen.
5. Dirk will have to do more than shoot jump shots. STILL TRUE. He didn't do that vs Miami and look what happened.
6. The Mavs got too much respect this year. Still true. Finally other teams are starting to step up (Phoenix) and realize Dallas isn't any better than Phoenix or SA.
7. That most NBA teams suck, making it easier for any top 3 team to put together "impressive" streaks. Still true. No team can win more than 54 games outside of Phoenix, Dallas, Detroit, and SA because of loss totals already. SA's 55 wins were expected in February. It's no suprise to me.

Now where the did I say anything that isn't true? Was it the "Dwight Howard made a fluke dunk" too?

Has he done a 0.8 dunk since? If so, show me the video and I will take it back.

Sorry for the long post, but this is getting ridiculous. I'm just defending all my statements.

GS certainly is NOT a better team than Dallas. Do we need a separate poll for this nonsense? GS has gotten a few bounces and had their way over the past 6 games with the Mavs, but they would NOT with a 7 game series.

You've said that the Mavs can't beat the Spurs in a 7 game series. But why can't they? To flat out say they CAN'T is ridiculous...

Amarelooms and it's not even close. The Mavs fans are a bit y, but they (think they) have a reason, their team is running good. Apart from that, they have that nasty inferiority complex, because they got all this beating for a century. They want to defeat Spurs at least once, so they have a story to tell for their grandkids. JeffDynasty, you conveniently edited your own statement. You said that was a "fluke dunk" by a "fluke player". This is one reason why people don't take you seriously. The guy doesn't play in silver and black so you discredit him. And to call an alley-oop by Dwight Howard (a guy who slaps stickers on the top of the backboard) a "fluke" is just plain ridiculous. I think you originally said he would "miss that shot 99 out of 100 times". If you have ever watched Howard play you would realize that all his teammates need to do is throw the ball up near the hoop and he takes care of the rest. Quite effortlessly.

see this is the type of response I was hoping for with this poll....i figured that these hated ST homers would take it as a point of pride that they are recognized as such. I thought they'd just have fun with it, but then Chris Childs used this thread as an opportunity to let us all know about his crack-cocaine addiction.
