I've been a Spurs fan so long I remember the Spurs making the Mavs our es for decades.
I'll look.
GhengisRex was the one who made it. I'll bet he still has it. I think I have the TD version he made too. If I can find them I'll send them to you.

I think not. The league was not as watered down with expansion as it is today. Gervin's outside shooting and famous ability to make tough shots would make him a scoring leader in this era. The dude was unstoppable!
Don't worry about it if it takes you longer than 5 minutes though, as I probably have them burned onto one of my giant stacks of CD-Rs. I PM'ed you my email address just in case you have them though.
Most of you are puss bag fair weathered fans anyway.
Since 1989-90 when Robinson arrived in San Antonio.
I just sent them.![]()
You the man, Chopper... you too, S y.![]()
He was there until about 1991....where did he go from there? The Heat website doesn't say much.
Since 1994-1995 season, when Spurs home games could only be seen on pay-per-view. Glad that's not the rule anymore, right?
wasn't it stan smith, voice of the spurs? you're getting old when you can't remember the details.
You're thinking of Stan Kelley, I think.
I've been a Spurs fan since my dad was taking me to games @ the Hemisphere Arena and we had a remote control Armadillo as a mascot at the games. Either late 70's or early 80's.
Since 1975, If you couldnt make it down to the game or listen to it on the radio, you could always check out the box scores in the good ol San Antonio light!
Since the Spurs drafted Timmy.![]()
no, i'm thinking of the radio play-by-play guy for the spurs in the late 70's, early 80's. i might be off on the name, but I can't verify on the internet - not enough detail on wikipedia.
there's weren't a lot of televised games back then, so i listened a lot.
The Miami Heat site names him as Sam Smith who they hired as their first ply by play man for that franchise....1987 I think.
Thank you , he was one of the reasons that I became a San Antonio fan.
Thanks....i think!
Post the Timmy one.
Cherylsteele , I thank you very much !![]()
I been a fan since 1954 but changed to Magic in 2005![]()
Sam Smith, not the Chicago Tribune Sam Smith, was the Spurs TV Play-By-Play man for a short period. I think he followed Dave Alexander the first time Dave was the Spurs TV guy. Dave had been the Mavs PBP guy prior to coming to the Spurs.
Sam Smith had a professional, easy-going style. He was slightly overweight, soft-featured.
you're a smart mofo... you know that?

Well, thank you. I'm not a mofo but thank you.
