They gotta play at Utah tomorrow and then another at Houston. Still a chance they drop those two.

well, it's funny. It's not just us non-Laker fans (Kings, Spurs fans) talking about the possibility of Lakers missing the playoffs. The Sportschannels are bringing it up now
I'm relishing this.![]()

VERY AWESOME!!!How awesome would it be if LA missed the playoffs.
Would someone photoshop Kobmes head into this?
We are completely sucking ass this season. We have the third worst record in the NBA since January 17th, and I wouldn't be surprised to see them NOT make the playoffs. This is extremely disturbing.
throw smush in the garbage...trade kwame for someone better suited to learn and play hard...cross your fingers that everyone stays healthy next season (a big part of this year's problems). draft picks are not what this team needs, not more youth...they need more experience guys, you already have some young talent in bynum and walton
I think you guys should just tank the season, and get some nice draft picks. Put some REAL talent around Kobe. Get a head start at looking to make trades. You're squad would just be wasting the other Western Teams time.and in the way of a very hungry Golden State team.
I wouldn't be surprised if Utah beats them tomorrow.
me neither, although utah kept their starters in the game all the way until under two minutes with a double digit lead so they may be tired too...should be a good LONG game tomorrow, YAY!!!
Phoenix was stupid for relying too much on Nash they were up by 13 or so at the half and they let the Lakers come back by being lazy on D when Kobe was out.
They should have gotten it up to 20 so that they could rest their starters early.
Who did they trade for him again??
maybe kwame? he was a wiz
Kwame Brown came from the Wiz with Laron Profit (?) for Caron Butler & Chucky Atkins. I think Kwame was drafted the year before.
according to the Wiki re: Profit,
"Profit suffered a season ending injury and was waived on January 17, 2006 to make room for rookie Ronny Turiaf on the Lakers roster. He is currently playing for Efes Pilsen S.K. of Turkey."
ok, thanks.
Kwame's alright. I think maybe the Lakers wanted Kidd for this current reason. I don't really know what veteran moves would put them on the next level. Unless KG wants to play beside Kobe![]()
Kwame is a bust, but did the Lakers ever get lucky with Bynum.
I dont see what the big deal is about with Bynum. He hasn't done jack.
They could have gotten Kidd for him.
He has potential, but the jury's still out. He had a few great games with Kwame out, but that was until the defenses wised up on him. I think he had the same flashy glimmers early on in the season (just like Oberto did!)
But nah, The kid is getting mentored by Kareem, so if he can be decent as he gains more experience, maybe it was a good gamble.
