Why does it have to be an either or question?
Because if the answer to the first question is NO, then D'Antoni is out of his damn mind.

Contenders dont get scared of inexperienced playoff teams.
The warriors playoffs have been going on for the last month. Almost every game is a must win game for the warriors.

Well I'm encouraged that Avery has enough confidence to face the warriors. Almost like he wants to face them.
He should want to face anyone. If we fear teams, we wont win a championship. We will be fine man. It is almost playoff time!!

OMG Suns are actually trying really hard.

No question about it, they're trying to send GS up Avery's backside.

Mavs scrubs have 28 points on the defensive Warriors juggernaut with less than 3 mins to go to half. I think I'd rather have Beno than Barea.

Barea must really suck, cuz I'd even take "air" over Beno (play 4 on 5).

I'm pissed at Avery for not taking this game seriously. If he's not worried about the Warriors, he's not paying attention.

but why lower avery to d'antoni's level? I understand the warriors are your 1st rd matchup but wouldn't you rather rest the guys?

look at the suns game right now, bell nearly injured himself 3 times already and for what? a meaningless game.

You guys will get your revenge in rd 1, don't worry

He was going to play some minutes tonight, but then Avery decided to go with his brilliant plan of tanking the game.

Of the two LA teams and the Warriors, I'd rather have one of the SoCal squads. But if you can't beat the Warriors, then you're not a le team. So avoiding them is irrelevant. Should the Warriors pull a Denver-Seattle, then we can't whine and cry about how we would've won a le if only we had faced the Clippers or the Lakers.

Suns have the lead going into 4th (74-71). Nash, Amare 25 minutes, Bell 27 minutes, Marion 21 (because he was stinking up the joint), with a quarter of fight still left.

No suprise, since D'Antonio even worked his players hard in the All-Star game.

I'm pretty sure that he's fine. Avery's just making sure that he's 100% for the playoffs. If this is any indication at all, Dampier lives on my street and when I saw him loading stuff into his SUV this morning, he appeared to be fine.

I honestly think that it's the fans who concern themselves more with jockeying and jostling for seeding position than the coaches and players. If Avery goes all out to "send a message" that the Mavs are better, he risks tipping his hand on how he would execute and attack in a potential series, as well as risking injury to a key guy...then the second-guessing would be "You idiot! You should've rested guys."

I think the Warriors give us matchup problems and the Clippers would be an easier opponent, but you aren't a serious le contender if you can't beat Golden State. If the Mavs are who they think they are, then they have no reason to be afraid of GS or any other team. Bring 'em on.

But is he practicing hard? If not his timing and conditioning will be horrible in the series against GS. Mavs need the two headed center to be playing well.

D'Antoni doesn't descriminate. He's going to make sure Marion gets his 30+ minutes too.

What a nut D'Antonio is. Once Nash breaks down D'Antoni will be exposed as nothing more than a motivator (who lets Nash call the plays).

yeah, golden state won't be as tough as most are making it out to be, maybe six games but it won't go seven...we'll be fine and shouldn't worry about who we play, the other half of the bracket will be playing just as hard so there's no *grizzlies* break for any one team

anyway, it's good to see the warriors back in the playoffs, i like the team alright and they're all healthy and ready to go

lol, barea scored 15 points in 20 minutes against the jazz last week, he can drive waaaaaaaay better than beano and knows how to take care of the ball a bit more...hint: warriors are playing starters, we're on the 2nd and 3rd string guys right now

Any sense of nervousness for Dallas fans (honestly, even a little?) with GS with a huge lead and Phoenix possibly on the way to victory = GS clinching 8th seed tonight

I'm really not nervous. Sure, it would be easier if we were facing the Clips, but I'm definitely confident about us getting the job done. We'll see you guys in the WCF. Book it.

Uh, no. If we can't beat GS, then we wouldn't have beaten Sas, Phx, Mia or Det. If we're the champs, we'll take all comers.

not at all...how many times did we beat the heat last season in the regular season before they stomped us in the finals? i can bring up examples of this happening with several teams but you'll just come up with some other lame b.s.
