Like I said, he was being a punk as was Davis. But IMO, he didn't do anything to Davis but put his arm around him while trying to get back onto the court...
I used to think you were one of the better Mavs posters here, but you're looking like a complete homer if you think Terry was innocent.

If he had put his hand in Davis' chest and a leg behind him and decked him, them I'm all for a suspension. He didn't do ...Davis' flopping and acting is the only thing that is making this a topic...
I think the response was appropriate. However, I would have assessed a technical on Davis as well. The entire GS teams is consistently doing assorted shenanigans during dead balls. Most of the time, the camera doesn't pick this stuff up.

Lets see...I've been to all three games in Dallas.
Well I think it's evident that Terry was at least trying to knock down Davis. Had he just put his arm around him and pushed him away, that would have been that. But he threw his arms downward while still holding Davis. He didn't even look back to see what happened. He was pissed.
So define some of these shenanigans that you've seen firsthand. Since you think Duncan deserved to be tossed, and you think JT didn't do anything wrong and you think Baron Davis deserved a T just for being on the receiving end of a body slam, this should be entertaining.
BTW, if you watch the video, JT takes baron's legs out with his knees as he pulls him off balance. It was a takedown.

Of what series? Sorry to say this Leonard, but no more Mavs basketball for you. What's worse is that Jason Terry threw Davis down like he was in some Steven Seagal movie and walked off like a true thug would. Though I agree that Baron Davis should have also received a T for initiating the contact, Terry's reaction was a clear venting of 4 1/2 games worth of pent up frustration. It was too violent to be overlooked by the league, but unfortunately the league will more than likely turn the other cheek.Will do, for game 7
The true test for Golden State going in to this series was not being the 8 seed against a 1 seed. They have clearly overcome that. There challenge is being a Golden State team with players with questionable track records with the league, a band of thugs if you will, taking on a team with the league's MVP, a charasmatic coach and a large fan base that the league is clearly beginning to favor in the playoffs. The good news is that they are focused on the task at hand and will end this series tomorrow night.
I hope Terry plays. I hope Dallas wins. Nothing would be more satisfying than to get a rematch of last year's series. I just don't think it will happen. Like a true Spurs fan, I want a "fair shake" in these playoffs and hope to see the games called straight up. Clapping in a condescending manner and being ejected for it is irresponsible of the refs and they should be ashamed. I know 10 year olds that are more mature than to be hurt by something like that.
Dallas fans, stop defending Jet Terry. This is a poorly officiated series where the Mavs got a 26-13 advantage in free throws for the second half. If that doesn't say something right there, I'm not sure what does. not to mention the two PFs on Jackson within the first 2 minutes.
GS in 6, then they get swept by the Rockets. Sorry Dallas, we'll have to see you next year.

I wish the mavs fan on SpursTalk were half as quiet as the mavs fans at the game last night.
They are only loud after a win, unless it's to complain about whoever's to blame for the loss. Rarely, if ever, the team on the floor.
The only reason I hate the Mavs so much is because of their fans. I also strongly dislike Mark Cuban, and Dirk is alright I guess, but he sure does know how to display a ton of arrogance even when he has accomplished nothing.

I'm going to have to go ahead and agree with you on this one... I live in Dallas and nothing makes me more angry than a bunch of flip flopping fans that look for the easy way out. Just read the NBA insider about the league investigating the JRich tangle with the fan and a bunch of guys I work with are like, "That's a good fan. yeah! I want to suck that dude's . etc.." It's disgusting to see a fan base that wants to take the low road, that will defend an obvious suspension worthy act like hitting another player in the nuts, and will tune out the season until the Cowboys are done playing. I hate those guys. I'm alright with the team. I love Avery as the coach and they always provide a good game when they play us. Great rivalry, just have no respect for their fans....

Mark Cuban made that team who they are, his inability to not be a bag ruined the team
