He said it so the refs will take a closer look during the next game. I don't mind the leg grabbing stuff, but Bowen has a tendency to go after ankles. Always has.

The Spurs didn't work the officials on the Terry suspension. They submitted tape to the league, but Spurs players and coaches weren't screaming out in the media that Terry was a thug or anything like that.

The most ridiculous part of this entire thing is the notion that NBA officials can somehow be influenced by things that are said in the media. I know it happens, but there's no way that it should.

I am not gonna get into whether it was intentional, Bowen is dirty, or whatever. Lord there is already about 5,345 threads on that already.

What I will comment on is the Suns fans "crying" about the play in question. My thoughts are we now have our superstar back and healthy after a loooong time of wondering if Amare would even be close to the same after the microfracture suregy. I think the fans are still in this "coddle Amare mode" hence the uproar.

If Bowen did this to say James Jones or someone I don't think it is an issue.

I am just saying that all this is just teams trying to get any advantage in the playoffs. If Terry had not been suspended for the 1 game whose to say if the Spurs would have won that game? Game 3 will be very interesting although I expect the Spurs to win that game.
