I understand the suspensions, I hate how the 'rule' gives no wiggle room. A great series is being ruined with Diaw and Amare forced to sit for that.
how about a first round exit for a 1st seeded team against an 8th seeded team?

The NBA just handed the series to the Spurs. No doubt. We got the best end of the stick. Horry causes all of this crap and we get the best end of the deal. WOW.

This is bad news for Spurs fans though. Amare isn't what makes that team go round. Neither is Diaw. Its Nash. Nash can easily beat the Spurs on his own - he did it last night.
The chip that should have been on the Spurs shoulder after a loss is now squarly on the shoulder of the Suns. When you add in how poorly the Spurs have fared against shorthanded teams then I'm really not happy about this one bit.

I sort of understand Spurs fans wanting the win any way they can get it, but if you're honest, even Spurs fans can agree on this: If the Spurs win game 5 and then the series, it's tainted. You may not agree that it's "unfair," since you can point to the black and white rule, and maybe you won't agree that Horry "caused" the suspensions, since Amare and Diaw are ultimately responsible for their own actions, but nothing will change the fact that you didn't play the Suns at full strength.
Sucks for everyone.

Asterisk is a lot better then winning 67 reg season games and losing to an 8th seed.
Not really. This team can't keep up with San Antonio without STAT's rebounding and inside scoring. Our only chance is to win game six.
They had no choice at all the rule is the rule. I kept citing the Knicks in 97 when they lost basically half their team over a situation like this. They can and i think will change the rule in the offseason but they can't make the exemption during a series like this they had to suspend them.

one thing i can say is the suns will not lay down... when you piss nash off he drops 40+ on you, i think itll still be a close game, we still have the firepower.

and SA down one clutch playoff 3 pt shooter.
The best that could happen is that this does go to 7 games and has both squads at full strength.
although a short handed suns win would be beyond awesome.
