How can I be bitter when I'm rooting for the Spurs and Finley to win a ring? I just find it amusing that some Spurs fans can't be merely satisfied with winning a ring -- they expect other teams and their fans to kiss the ring.

Piss off Findog. When I moved to Dallas two hand a half years ago, no one in this town gave a about the Mavs. But then they FINALLY beat the Spurs last year, and all of a sudden everyone had been a Mavs fan for life and was happy to see them get over the hump, blah blah bandwagon blah.
I've seen it first hand in this hole town, and if I want to call all out the ing bandwagoners in town on a SPURS forum, and you don't like it, you can go yourself. Or Dirk, pretty damn obvious he doesn't have a pair either.

I don't care if you call out bandwagoners...I freely admit that the Mavs fanbase is comprised of a large portion of it. Dallas is a fair-weather town, and the Mavs have sucked for most of their existence. But you make no distinctions between the Mavs fans that have stuck with them through the hard times and the rest. It doesn't matter what any individual Mavs fan says or does, you play guilt by association and lump them in with the idiots no matter what. It's your prerogative, but it makes it a chore to have to skim past your posts.

Let what go? I'm rooting for the Spurs and Michael Finley. My team is a pretender, not a contender. For the most part, Spurs fan is cool, but the recent success reminds me of championship-era Lakers fan. Does that cover everything?
