Austinites, I hope you guys take the time to visit North by Northwest Restaurant and Brewery whenever you get a chance. Ty Phelps (the head brewer) makes some killer beers and is a good guy to boot.

they have some great beers there, my best friend also lives in stumbling distance. we hit up the brunch on sundays occasionally. Okanogan Black Ale is my current fave.

i wish i had seen that before i went to wine country in january. i did go to the bear republic brewing company in healdsburg. my wife and i went there with toad williams, the owner of toad hollow vineyards - he took us there for lunch - we had a bottle of pinot and several beers.
just went for brunch today - the blackjack ale aged in whisky barrels is delicious. i'm gonna stop by tomorrow and grab a bottle or two of the flemish sour they have as well.
