Guys... be honest... Bruce didn't really do a good job...
He didn't let Jay lead him into questions... He talked like everyone knew what the deal was with his childhood... but never said what the "hardship" was...
Very frustrating for Jay I'm sure...
I liked it when he reminded the band to hit the drums, after making a joke
I will tell you like what I told my friends be thankful that he was even on Jay Leno stupido
plus I don't think he wanted to play the pity act by revealing to much of his hardship childhood maybe he wanted to keep some of it to himself and not reveal a lot of his private life plus chiklis took up most of the time and jay also did 'jaywalking' which left Bruce with not much time
I'm pretty sure the audience wanted to know, but Bruce spared them the personal details. I still think Bruce's moment, was when he described the Spurs "quiet dynasty" and how they don't really do any of that that turns off the marginal fans of the NBA.
Bruce does tend to talk a lot and babble a little. But I thought he was fine, wasn't nervous (or blank), very sociable.

Jay mentioned Bruce having a tough upbringing or something, and Bruce mentioned that ABC did a package about that...I must've missed that. Does anyone have a link to that?
I think he was talking about the halftime special ABC showed during the 2005 Finals.
Umm... Jay probably should have asked Bowen ahead of time if he wanted to discuss his mom's crack problems and other family estrangements. In such a joyous time of his life, maybe he just didn't want to get into stuff like that.
I took it as him not trying to play the sympathy card. Because he also added that a lot of people go through rough times, and that his story was one of many in the NBA. He did great IMO.
That's exactly my take. I think Bruce was gracious in not going into details and further, turning it into an opportunity to point out that there are many children growing up in the same cir stances.
