My oldest (Kiki) is afraid of thunder, so she kept waking me up this morning trying to sleep close (and mind you, that was a ty Red Roof I stayed at in Corpus, so I wanted to sleep).
Daisy, though, is as fearless as they come (until people show up - then she just runs away, hides and barks).
Kiki's asleep by my feet right now. It's a mini-flood on Trendwood, though.
I got my dog to go out this morning, but I had to stand outside with her!

it's been coming down pretty hard since a little after 10 i think. we are getting flooded around here!! Too bad we are not shutting down, I wish we would, but at the same time, I cannot drive to home like this. well at least business will be slow today and i can catch up on my paper work.

i havent seen rain for a couple of months
When I was up at 6 this morning, it started raining, and when I went to bed at 8, I figured it wouldn't be raining by noon because I had stuff to do today. But it's been raining for 6 and a half ing hours! This damn system is barely even moving.
this has got to be one of the wettest summers/years ever. the weather has been so inconsistent in South Texas. it's kinda weird and frightening.

I know. Seriously, there's usually like maybe 3-5 days of bad rain down here every summer but this year, there's been weeks. I've never seen the weather like this in the 13 years I've lived here. I'm so glad I'm going to Cali next week. Can't wait for the nice weather.

All of the above. My sinuses have been killing me the past few days, my cat has been sick and I haven't slept much taking care of her, it was pouring down rain... it just seemed like a good day to lay low and take care of myself, spend some time with my cat, etc.
