Dont forget about Mi3 that movie was awesome.
I bet the monster is a giant mermaid.
The ripoff of the blair witch approach to marketing this movie will inevitably result in a load of letdowns, as well as a load of money at the theatre.
Apparently the movie is being called "Slusho" at the filming, and the website www.slusho.jp is somehow a part of this "viral" marketing campaign.
It's being filmed under the name of "Cloverfield".
And, Slusho has something to do with the movie.
Yes Slusho, Cloverfield and The Parasite are all code names for the movie like 'Rory's First Kiss' is for The Dark Knight and yes Slusho does have something to do with the movie one of the guys in the trailer is wearing a slusho t shirt
if you go to the site www.1-18-08.com and shake the pictures around, two of them have messages written on the back.
If you go there, look at the pic of the two chicks who look scared. It looks like there's some kind of gremlin looking thing in between them (I know it's supposed to be her hair, but maybe that's the idea...).
I just hope its a movie where everybody dies at the end and they don't end up killing the monster.
haha
good find AHF
Dammit im getting sucked into this .

It looks like the movie might be called Overnight according to Rotten tomatoes and Slashfilm
J.J. Abrams Project le Mystery Solved?
Un led J.J. Abrams Project gets closer to " led" status. Maybe.
by Jeff Giles | August 03, 2007
Say what you will about his followthrough, but J.J. Abrams knows how to set up a project. He's established himself as something of a trailblazer for viral ads, littering the Web with various Lost-related content, and he's using the same tactics to create buzz for his next film production -- so much buzz, in fact, that the thing doesn't even have an official le yet, and that's news, as Slashfilm's Peter Sciretta recently learned firsthand.
How intense is the speculation surrounding the film (referred to, up 'til now, as 1-18-08 or Cloverfield)? As Sciretta posted at Slashfilm on Tuesday, enterprising fans have been poring over copyright registration paperwork. (We can just hear our mothers now: "If you only gave that kind of effort to your homework...") Anyway, an attorney named Lori N. Boatright has registered a trademark for the le Overnight, and this just happens to be the same Lori Boatright who did the same for the trademarks protecting Abrams' Bad Robot production company, as well as a pair of slogans thought to be connected with the upcoming movie.
Translation? It seems like a pretty safe bet that 1-18-08/Cloverfield is actually going to be called Overnight -- or that someone wants to make a bunch of hyper-caffeinated movie afficionados think that's what it'll be called, which would be sort of a mean trick, but also very funny.
How big is the story? Big enough to land Sciretta on a segment of CNBC's On the Money. Whether this movie is any good obviously remains to be seen, but even if it turns out to be the worst release of 2008, it'll be valuable as an example of exactly how to market a film.

its official its "Voltron"...big whoop.
Well I guess were all pretty pumped up about this new movie. But the questions still remain? What is it called and what is the monster, and what’s with the pics on the main page? I’ve been reading this forum about 01-18-08, and these guys think it’s tied into myspace and other pages, read post 484. it seems to make sense but thought you guys should give it a look. There is a lot to read but I recommend you get a much as possible.

That's insane.....its like the best scavenger hunt of 2007.
I have to give the people behind his marketing strategy mad props.
cbf you said you only liked remakes
It's funny because each person you hear talk about this movie makes your brain decrease the likelihood that you'll see it.
Luckily it's not based on a book, or has hobbits in it.
At least.....as far as we know it doesn't.......
youve only heard Radio eminem
Radio eminem is like the SPM to nonradio eminem's Swishahouse.
