read the story instead, you should have spared yourself.
is it still considered film criticism if you just say you like everything?
this man distributes stars liberally

Wow are you serious..28 weeks SUCKED compared to 28 days. I was hesitant to watch 28 weeks when I found out Danny Boyle wasn't directing. 28 was ok, but I think they made it for the sake of making a sequel....damn movie companies.
I saw the new Harry Potter this weekend. Pretty good stuff, but now going to have to wait another year or so for the next one.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix which was pretty good but switched stuff around from the book, made changes, and left stuff out.
you can make a special-effects laden fantasy movie and still have a smart, intelligent script and story.
signed,
Pixar
John Krasinski?
Just a couple of weeks ago I saw The Bourne Iden y and Saturday I saw The Bourne Supremacy looking forward to The Bourne Ultimatum as a fan of the Spy/action movie genera I appreciate the way The Bourne movies keep the same style and feel to them, I can't say the same thing about the Mission Impossible movies (1= great spy twist movie 2=awful john woo bullet time crap) and even the James Bond movies
They had to, the book is to long, and the movie was already at 2 and a half hours.
Thye did a pretty great job trying to fit in as much as they can, and as far as a book to movie translation, thought they did about as good of a job as they could have
i saw the proposition and the number 23 this weekend. prop was awesome, number 23 was crow 2 bad. it may have been worse.
I believe some things in life really don't need to be analyzed to death. Especially when it's a completely subjective topic to begin with.
signed,

good for you. i didn't even dispute that.
Saw the beginning of 'Thank You For Smoking' would have saw the whole thing but it started at 4 in the morning and I have to work from what I saw it was a pretty good little movie and Aaron Eckhart is as charming as ever it is no wonder why they picked him to play Harvey Dent/Two Face in TDK the part calls for someone like able and charming and eckhart possesses those qualities from what I hear about the Oceans movies George Clooney is almost as cool as Sinatra planning on seeing 'Oceans 11' on TNT this weekend Evan Almighty is getting huge support from the catholic church I would not mind seeing it, Steve Carell is one of my favs and Get Smart looks GREAT
Spiderman 3 (Crucified it...They butchered my Venom, the heathens! ;_; )
Transformers ('Gasmed over it. Hugo Weaving as Megatron. Childhood feels better)
Harry Potter and the OotP (Liked it. Changes weren't too bad. Needed more Snape. Dumbledore v. Voldemort fight was an orgy for the eyes.)
Thank You For Smoking is kick ass, Robe Lowe's character is awesome
Sorry ... I was referring more to the other thread where everyone was dissecting the out of Transformers like it was going to be up for some Academy Award or something. It was ridiculous, IMO.
We really liked it.
saw harry potter order of the phoenix last night, it was a pretty good movie.
In the theater, I recently saw 1408, and just about sh*t my pants! I loved it! I can't wait to go see it again.
I've also been going to HBO OnDemand and catching movies that I never saw.
In Her Shoes... was....meh
The Family Stone...was very funny, yet heart-wretching at the same time.
Friday Night Lights (DVD)...too close to home for me. I used to live out in West Texas when Permian was dominating everyone. The hard-core love for high school football portrayed in the movie just brought back many bad memories.
50 First Dates (DVD)...OMFG I love this movie so much that I've only seen it about 1,000,000 times! I love Adam Sandler and Drew Berrymore together in movies. I think they are the new Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan.
Only when the movie deserves them
As I said a few weeks ago, I walked out of Pirates, because it was one of the worst movies ever. I give it 1/4 * tops. After thefirst one, it just got worse and worse.....shamefully.
Saw a preview for a movie coming out next Summer and I want to go see it.
Get Smart
staring Steve Carell as Maxwell Smart and Anne Hathaway as 99.
I had a lull of a weekend so spent more time than usual digging through HBO and Starz On Demand as well as other On Demand stuff:
Finally saw The 9th Gate after about 7 years and it was... different. Some parts I liked, some I didn't - but it definitely had Polanski written all over it.
Finally saw The Island, and I enjoyed it as a Michael Bay film can be enjoyed. The story was pretty good and the cast pretty good as well. Not bad.
Next was Unleashed - it was actually better than I thought going in. I was expecting the typical Jet Li fistfest and was surprised by a lot of drama aspects and pretty good acting by Li, Hoskins, and Freeman. Decent drama combined with good fights scenes = much better than expected.
Next two up sometime this week - Thank You for Smoking and Black Christmas
The Fountain was a very good movie - exactly what I was expecting from Aronofsky. It was confusing as at first but tied together well. Amazing how long it took to get that movie filmed, including the first company completely scrapping it during production.
