me > you
I just saw that episode two days ago and still fresh in my mind. The camera was doing 360 spins on the sea. And Bear said: The sea looks endless while he was doing 360 degree camera shots no yacht in site........
We can agree to disagree.
Me: Bear > Les
You: Les > Bear
Both: Stallone > Both
Timvp: Timvp > Nature
As you asked someone earlier, link please.
And let's give a round of appluase to the ign animals who surive in this every day.![]()
Last night I watched the Costa Rica episode of Man vs. Wild. I think what he does is real.
But did anyone notice how the camera crew was able to follow him up to the top of 80 foot tree?
I doubt they got up there the way he did...and would be pretty funny if he had to wait until they (crew) got everything ready to reach him.
It's on Wikipedia's page Man vs Wild
I just want to keep this going to see E20 rushing to Bear's defense.
Did you write that portion for him?
And since when is Wikipedia ever been a source for credible information.
It don't matter. I still like Man vs Wild better than SurvivorMan. It's just a much better produced show.
wikipedia is like the dictionary
very LEGIT, aka bear grylls
Les Stroud would survive as he has done but Bear Grylls would also survive because of all the training he has. He was special forces after all. I think if they had a "Survive off" Bear Grylls would come out in much better shape them Les.
E20,
you forgot to mention this part I just found on his wikipedia page...........
"The preview for the show stated he had served in the Foreign Legion, but his official biography states he was just demonstrating what going through their training was like. So, outside of heading Brit. Army anti-drug commercials and holding the honorary rank, he has no military experience. And I really don't count those last two as true military experience, and in the case of going through the Foreign Legion BCT, that was just for a TV show. So, did this guy just come onto the stage via climbing Everest at such a young age? Not knocking British television industry, but it must be easier to break into entertainment via reality tv than in the States"
To be honest I dont' really have much defense to go so far eveything has been assumptions and farfetched:
-Resorts in the jungle ala Lord of the Flies
-Bear can't do all that in 1-hour
-Bear his 3 feet tall and 10 pounds
-He can't really do all that stuff and his military career was a facade.
-Survivor man is better because he is from the Americas and Bear is a Brit
I'm enjoying this thread, because people come up with funnier assumptions by the post.
Umm.. yes. I went horseback riding in the Costa Rican rainforest, white water river rafting, etc and then went back to my condo 20 minutes away (still in the jungle) where I had a complete kitchen, shower with hot running water, feather bed, etc.
Don't worry E20, TSA will try until you stop. He has nothing else to do ALL day... besides PM me spam and defend his re ed logic.
Then he responds to "I just got back from the movies and ate breakfast with my co-workers... then I'm going to the ball game tonight".
pshhhh
So you discredit his army training, because never served in the war?
I guess you don't want to accept this:
Grylls first entered the record books in 1997 by being the youngest Briton to summit Ama Dablam in the Himalayas, a peak famously described by Sir Edmund Hillary as "unclimbable".
Then in 1998, Grylls broke another record of becoming the youngest Briton, at 23, to summit Mount Everest. Both these achievements are made even more remarkable by the fact that a mere two years earlier he almost severed his spinal cord in a near fatal parachuting accident in Africa.[5]
Just admit it Bear>> Les![]()
What is funny, is that you claim to know all of these "facts" about Bear, yet all of your information came from a wikipedia page. I bring up another "fact" I found on the same wikepedia page, and now my "fact" is a funny assumption?
What was the name of the resort so I can debunk that .
There should be a second show called Cameraman vs. Wild where they show how the cameramen survive the wild.
I'm just posting things I found on his wikipedia page, same as you are doing.
I guess you've never been to Costa Rica.
Hold on I'll get you the link to the place I stayed.
TSA can't respond...
