I've worn a ton of shoes, from the KG1s to Nike Air Max/Shox to running shoes, and from what I've found, it really makes less of a difference what the shoe was made for and more how it fits your foot. I'll take a light, well balanced running shoe over a "high stability" shoe with an athlete's face plastered across it any day of the week.

Just look at the technology. You pay for the face/name associated with the shoe before you ever touch the cost of making it. By far the worst shoes I've ever worn have been poorly made (but expensive!) B-ball shoes.

the worst shoes i have ever worn were flat sole shoes... skateboard shoes, regular tennis shoes, etc... zoom air & shox or one of the two is what i look for now. i don't care who's signature shoe i buy as long as it has either one of those prereqs.

What's the difference between Zoom Air and regular air (a serious question)?

What's good about a Shox shoe (also serious)?

zoom air is actually a gel type pad that is in either the front of the shoe, the back, or both. then there's shox too that add i suppose more cushion?

anyhow the combo of both is what i seek but if i cant find both together i go for one or the other. i prefer zoom air if i have to go with one tech over the other.

for me it was after my first purchase of some expensive vc's that have me on the zoomair/shox wagon. my legs havent ached since buying those vc's so i am sticking by nike for now.
