They used to have them in all blue and all red too. I just looked on their site right now and they are all gone. But I will look on the net because I am 100% sure I have seen them on their site.
Any chance they had of claiming innocence was lost by their color choice.
C'mon, red bandannas, blue bandannas, and a freaking gold crown?

I guess the one good thing is that these gangs, like the Italian, Jewish, and Irish gangs before them, are proving to have economic clout.
They used to have them in all blue and all red too. I just looked on their site right now and they are all gone. But I will look on the net because I am 100% sure I have seen them on their site.
I know, it wasn't to you...it was to E20.
Well I did buy a Cardinals hat that had a design of downtown on the hat with a star marking where Busch stadium is,Baseball guys like you and me aren't buying these caps
That im sure has been adopted by the Viagra 50s or whatever gang exists.
i couldnt believe it myself when i saw the article, but that's the state of affairs these days
I worked all over L.A.............. Compton, Inglewood, Watts, Long Beach, Hawaiin Gardens etc. The bloods and crips are far outweighed in Los Angeles by Hispanic gangs.
They had hats like them, in all colors with the paisleys on em.They used to have them in all blue and all red too. I just looked on their site right now and they are all gone. But I will look on the net because I am 100% sure I have seen them on their site.
Red.
Blue.
Green.
White.
Yellow.
Covering the gang gambit.
But you are taking it backwards. You think that the company put out these hats and then the gangs just happened adopted them. When it's apparent that the company put out the hats catering to the gangs. That's who they were targeting.
In the city, city of Brentwood, they're really cool to all their homeless
No they didn't. They just had red and blue bandanas, as far as I know.
Yeah there's tons of Hispanic gangs (particularly the valley, Pasadena, and lots of the beach areas), but there are still many areas which are dominated with black gangs.
mob, in most cases just means money over es. mob is also a LA based gang. MOB PIRU BLOODS...
new era cap by the way.....
slightly less offensive
Right, but these have a NYY logo, so perhaps it's being marketed to NYC only, meaning bloods and crips are still very prominent there. I have no idea about gang affiliiations in NYC. Or did they make Dodgers ones as well?
and i wish i could find a picture of the all red and all blue bandana hats....... like TIMVP said corporations have been marketing to urban America for years... they don't care how much blood is shed.....
I'd like to see some numbers because I'm actually curious if the number of black gang members has declined like I think it has. I was in some shady parts of the cities I mentioned too, taking blood to the back door of an emergency at strange hours of the night was not my favorite thing to do. Those hospitals were always filled with gang members in the waiting rooms and I saw more than a couple people shot laying on a hospital bed when I walked in. Glad I'm not doing that anymore.
i only saw the NYY ones, we probably wont see anymore because New Error knows this wont fly
But tying it in with sports teams ... has that been happening for years? I thought that was the point of this. The Rockies logo is not a good argument, that was probably some clueless white guy who didn't know that was a gang symbol.
But the bandana NYY caps are pretty blatantly tying one of the most famous franchises in all of sports with gangs. That (as far as I know) has not been happening for ages.
The bloods and crips are in for a rude awakening once the Ms-13 takes over everything. Those El Salvadorians are ing out of their minds and make our "gangsters" look like school kids. They kill unprovoked.
Without anything but my gut instinct to back it up, I can pretty much guarantee you that it hasn't.
Oh I think it definitely declined from the 80's/90's but I still think it's extremely prevalent. In the 90's though, it was horrible. There was so so much killing. I coached inner city boys basketball (14-17 year old range) for five years. Players had to leave their guns in a box outside the door before coming on the courtAnd we'd lose players by the week because they'd get killed on the street. It was horrible.
Yes, I think it's died down some since then. But Crips/Bloods is still pretty heavy. Lots of gangs stopped showing their colors so much because they were getting picked up to easily by the cops - so they started dressing in more normal colors and just sporting tats to show their affiliation.
they gotta push the envelope to see how far they can go. Try out these new gang line of ball caps with the most popular team logo and see how it sells
Where do you live? When is the last time you've spent a decent amount of time there?
Most of the gang related crimes I saw on the news in the four years I lived there related to Hispanics.

^ blue paisley beneath the hat makes it look like you have a bandana under the hat
There was also a big public "truce" back when I was in high school, but it was bull . Half my friends back then were on one side or the other (I went to school in a largely blood neighborhood in Pasadena, but a good deal of the student body was from my neighborhood which was all ABC -- Altadena Black Crips), and that is still passed generationally through the family.
