Colts win. Hope it lives up to expectations. Will love to see a great close game. Enough talk. Lets get it on.

If the Cowboys are pussies because they lost to the Pats...then there are going to be alot more.

16 is what it looks like.

lets see, probably pats 75 colts 0.

the Pats will get an FU TD, but I think the Colts are too good offensively to let themselves gert outscored...let's say pats 33 colts 30? or maybe vinatieri will pull off another miracle....

I still believe that we have been watching the Colts on cruise control so far this season.
This statement is what makes me truly believe the Colts will win on Sunday. Everything I've seen from the Patriots tells me they haven't held anything back all year. They've been playing all out in every way possible. With the Colts, they've some guys hurt and I don't think they've played a "complete" game where offense, defense and specials teams were all playing lights out, except for maybe the Saints game (we'll let Reggie's fumble go since he made up for it with 2 TDs).

Peyton has shown incredible patience. In past seasons, if the Colts went three and out or were forced to punt, you got the feeling that they wouldn't be able to come back since the defense wasn't as good as it is now. For a few years we needed to turn every possession into points. Now, if Peyton goes three and out, can't get a 1st down, gets picked off, the defense comes in and gets the ball back. And you know the offense has yet to show what it can really do on the field because Marvin has been hurt. Believe what you want to but Dungy and Polian are fooling everyone with the injury report... Marvin did not play last week specifically so he would be ready to go against the Patriots.

I would still pick the Colts to win this game if they had the same roster as say, the Miami Dolphins, but the defense has played with a chip on its shoulder all year. Only, nobody knows about it because the Patriots score 5, 6 TDs a week and get all the headlines. You look at the Colts D and see a unit that nobody gave a shot at the beginning of the season. Five new starters, young guys at cornerbacks wouldn't be able to get the job done, etc. Is anyone doubting Marlin and Kelvin now? Bob Sanders is an absolute stud, Ed Johnson has done phenomenal for an undrafted rookie FA. The Pats D has some bigger names and has been together longer, but I wouldn't bet against the Colts D, even in this game. Each week some team is expected to put enough points up to beat the Colts, and they get shut down. I don't know if the Colts D will be able to "shut down" the Pats, but I think of all the teams in the league they definitely have a shot.

Basically, the Colts seem like they're holding back while the Pats have all their cards on the table. And if a team that's playing as well as the Colts have this seasons is holding back, I can't wait to see what their hand looks like.

Inevitably, Bob Sanders will have to get hurt for a Colts win. There's no denying it.

I want the Colts to win for the simple fact that they play the Chargers the following week and will probably not be as focused because of their big win.

If you think a win against the Pats would give the Colts to a reason to slack off against the Chargers, you're dumber than I thought.

I think the Colts defense and running game give them a slight advantage here. Even though the Patriots have an offensive explosion I think it comes down to who can stop who and run the ball well.

    Ive got

    Colts 31
    Patriots 27

    Interesting...
I've been following the "experts" picks this week, and of the ones that had already picked, all but one chose the Patriots.
I just went back and checked, and 2 of the experts that had picked the Pats have changed to the Colts.

You think they will beat the Colts worse than they did the Cowboys.

I think he meant it in the fact that a lot of people will just pick the Patriots because they see that they have pretty much dominated everyone so far, and so they just pick them, without doing any research, which you can't blame them either. The Pats have been absolutely superb. And don't get me wrong, there are people that look deep into the matchups, and feel that the Patriots are also the better team, thus picking the Pats.

Most people that pick the Colts are people that actually look a little deeper into the matchup, as opposed to the points that the Patriots have put on the boards so far this season. On paper, not many, if any are going to pick the Colts, unlike the Patriots. Does that make more sense to you now?

Marvin Harrison is doubtful for this game, that could put a slight hamper on things.

But with Freeny coming back maybe, just maybe they can get some pressure on Brady.

I was just going to ask is anyone else saw the list of possible injuries for the Colts? It's a bit extensive.

I can live with Brady getting knocked on his ass for a safety.
    Thats some funny .

And I pretty much agree to a score similar to Jakes.

I'm going to say 41-21 Pats.

and JT it seems like 38-34 is a common score for these 2 teams.

I'd like it to be a good game.
Part of me wants to see the Colts win so people can still say the Pats will go undefeated even though they have a loss.

And Part of me wants to see the Pats win big and go undefeated and play the Broncos in the AFC Championship game.

then lol Cutler and Denver can pull off thier 30 point upset win on the way to the Superbowl.

I'm reaching but that be funny .
But I really think the Pats are scary good.

If they can beat the Colts by at least a convince 2 Tds then I really think they will go undefated in the regular season.
    Then maybe 19-0?
Then them ing 72 Fins can shut the up and have some company.

I'm glad that Brady and Manning play each other almost every year. Its nice to see the top 2 qbs play against each other a lot.

It should be a fun game.

I cant wait to watch it.

Oh brother. You again? Do you have to read into EVERYTHING?

"experts"...."experts." There, are you happy? Everyone has a quote now. Geez. You read waaaaaay too much into that.

This is going to be a pretty tight game. Both are equally good. I am hoping the Pats will take it. I really hate watching a game when you have one team that embarasses you and mops the field up with your ass.

Gimme a game anyday that will keep you on the edge of your seat making you wonder who will win it in the final seconds of play.

Now that is what I call amazing.

I don't think the Pats will be able to put the brakes on Addai. The emergence of the Colts running offense has been the biggest reason that Peyton has been able to burn significant time off the clock and preserve leads. But I do think this is one of those games where if he can't get the ball into the end zone and has to settle for field goals that it won't be enough.

And I know Dungy isn't known for playing games with the injury report like Belichick, but I don't think the injury to Marvin is as big as it's been played out to be. It just shows you the strength of the Colts offense without Harrison playing is still pretty good. He has less than 300 yards and only 1 TD on the season, Reggie and Dallas have been doing more than enough to pick up the slack. I really think they've been careful with Marvin just so he'd be good to go in this game. Marvin's going to play tomorrow, there's just no way he'd willingly sit out this game.

As well as both defenses are playing they might be able to cover that in the first half.

I just looked at the injury list...the only listed as "out" was Morris, of course.
    Lots of "questionables" and "probables."
I'd read though that Marvin is fighting to play tomorrow.
I'm kind of on the fence here about who to pick. I think the Colts are the better team all around, but the injuries or possible injuries are nagging at me. I'm considering picking NE. Any thoughts?

Yea this is the best year I've seen the Colts play Defense. The Pats have always usually had a Pretty good D but I actually think the Colts D might be better this year. But even with the Good D's both offenses can move the ball at will. And you know they will probably go for it on 4th down a few times. At least the Pats will.

Well, as efficient as the Colts have been running the ball this year, I wouldn't be surprised to see Dungy go for it on 4th and short if they're held to a yard or inches. But in general, a 4th down for the Colts means either Vinatieri or Hunter Smith is coming onto the field.

The doctors could tell Marvin that he'd die if he played in this game and he would still play. This game is too big for him to sit out. The spin on his injury right now is that the Colts were told that if Marvin plays and aggravates this injury, it might remain with him for the rest of his career, but if he rests a little bit longer that the chances of it lingering go down significantly. I find that extremely hard to believe for what was reported as a knee bruise. Also, Reggie and Dallas have been lights out with Marvin hurt. And I think Moorehead, Fletcher, and Gonzo will get some looks if Marvin doesn't play, but he will. It's the Patriots. He'll ing play.

Belichick plays games with the injury report so looking at the Pats injury report each week is just a waste of time. Tom Brady's been on the injury report with a shoulder injury for practically his entire career and I don't see anything wrong with his shoulder.

As for who to pick, why would you pick against the Colts in this game? They have been overshadowed by the Patriots all year and are underdogs in their own dome. They'll play with a chip on their shoulder tomorrow, the same way the Patriots have been playing with a chip on their shoulder about the whole spying team. They're underdogs in the RCA Dome where they've won 13 straight games, including the AFC Championship... don't think that won't give the team motivation to knock the Pats off the front page for at least the next week.

I do think the Pats could win it and I picked the Colts with a confidence of 1 in Yahoo Pick Em just because it's going to be so close. I've already dubbed this game "The Revenge of Adam Vinatieri" just because of how close I think it will be.

Good points made...I really do think this could come down to the final play(s)...it would be awesome if Vinatieri put the nail in that coffin though! All right...I'm picking the Colts...no looking back
