Give credit where it's due, horns sure look like they cared in the 4th qtr. Had they not given a they wouldn't have tried making the score respectable.

As an aggie, I would actually prefer we beat in tech than the longhorns, because the majority of horns fans are actually knowledgeable and not complete bags and therefore garner my respect.

Well, regardless of how much you scoff Texas we still have a superior record and therefore a superior season compared to A&M

We're talking about a sport in which a 3 loss team was ranked ahead of five 2 loss teams just because its quarterback is big, white, and marketable. So, i dont get it, you make fun of texas yet we're on a bad ass bowl streak, while A&M showed the entire country why it wont be overranked for a very very long time when they played their bowl game last year. In fact A&M disgraced the big12 in their last bowl.


A&M isn't even ranked due to their supposed big win, while Texas is still the 17th best team in the country according to the AP rankings. So, I guess it sucks we lost to A&M but in the grand scheme of things, you jacking each other off for beating us is about as great a reward as you'll get for that one victory (it's funny because its true both figuratively and literally).

Um... not sure who I'm taking up for here, but exactly what are you saying? arKy's rival is cooler than atm's because LSU is 14th all time overall record while UT is 3rd? Or because UT has a winning record vs LSU (and arKy for that matter). Also, I highly doubt LSU sees arK as their main rival. Up until '92 when ya'll joined the SEC they only played each other 6 times since WW2 and the last time was '66. Not much of a rivalry.

Arkansas fans think they have a rivalry with LSU, which is absolutely laughable to anyone who lived outside the state.

Two weeks ago, my friend's aunt and uncle (who went to Texas but live in Little Rock) were laughing about Arky fans thinking they had a rivalry with LSU, while my boss to went to LSU answered with an incredulous, "what?" and named at least 5 other "rivals" in front of Arkansas.

By the way, 50-48 victory in OT is not impressive at all.

Why would A&M be ranked with a 7-5 record and 4-4 in conference? Do we see Miss. State ranked even though the "SEC is the best conference in the history of the world"? No.

I was trying to push the focus that the rivalry is one sided. Sure aTm has pulled some close wins out lately, but all time it's one sided. Just like Hogs/Tigers.

You're talking about the Vols. LSU considers them over Arkansas, while Tenn considers Florida over LSU. LSU also considers Auburn over Arkansas, yet Auburn considers Bamer over LSU. It goes around and around like that all over the SEC.

I agree. That's no mystery to what you're saying. But it's misguided. You wanna make the point then make the whole point. All these teams do the same thing to eachother. Well, when I lived in Baton Rouge and asked the question of a few dozen LSU students and alumni, the answer was "Alabama."

I'll grant you that that was in the late '90s, but then again, if LSU is swapping out "rivals" every few years, then really they don't have one at all.
