    Exactly.

But it doesn't change the fact he was lazy and disinterested as a Spur.
    True.....

but the point is Beno drilled the Spurs tonight. There was no pride by Parker, Vaughn or anyone else to shut his ass down.

The past is over, he just erased it. He dropped the dagger, got the foul and fricking chest bumped everyone right in front of the Spurs bench. He won.

Spurs are flying home with their heads between their legs.

    Hey, props to him.

Bowen would have owned Beno. If Pop wanted to, he could have rained on his parade.

So Beno owned us on his first return game... *yawn* ... like a player has never done that before!?

Good onya Beno, now show us you can keep it up for a season, or maybe five like Tony and Manu have... and if you do, great. But he never made it happen in SA, so we should all move on.

Beno's never been as good as he was in his first start...3 years ago.
Looked pretty ing good tonight, though. Amazing what happens when the coach doesn't berate and bench him the first time he turns the ball over or someone scores on him.

It's just like Rasho dunking like 4 times in a game the first time he played us with the Raps...

BFD...he didn't do it for us.....he wouldn't even try it.

Sometimes it takes getting cut to get a guy to pull his head out...and you know what? It hasn't for Beno...he's going to turn into a worthless wuss the when Bibby comes back and the first time Theus yanks him.

Thank god Tony Parker isn't the pussy Beno is. He'd be ins utionalized if he had Beno lack of nuts...

We know how Beno rolls. That past is coming around again soon enough.

I did during that playoff series against Dallas. Tell me you didn't. Psst: The Spurs lost because they couldn't get any stops. Having someone tall that knew the defense might have helped.

    More like ...

Parker and Manu listened to criticism.
Beno complained about Pop on myspace.
    Parker and Manu practiced hard.
Beno sat out of practice with a hangnail.
Parker and Manu thought they had room to improve.
Beno was appalled when the Spurs asked him to work on his shot.

    ....

I thought Nazr was decent. He need more time to adapt to the defense, guess he is a slow learner, he seemed like a hardworker. Spurs offered him a contract, but he declined if I recall correctly.

True - but Nazr was only one half of that guy.

You could give him an open book test about the Spurs defensive schemes and he'd be stuck on question one when time was up.

Bottom line...the only guy I know saying Beno sucked that is somehow surprised by this game is Sequ...
WTF? I am surprised by any player dropping 27 on the Spurs. , especially Beno. Beno should've been picked up on D as soon as he got to half court...

You mean to tell me it's not a surprise that Beno dropped 27 on the team he just was waived from?

WTF? It's a got damn surprise... Beno is not a 27 ppg player... You're weird.

    Nazr knew the defense?
If it were possible to sub players after each possesion, then Pop could have subbed in Rasho for defense and right after sub in Nazr for offensive.

They should stick to revising one player's history at a time.

    Still glad he's gone.

Exactly. The guy wasn't a saint...but for chrissakes, if he got the kind of leash that some players have received over the last few years, TP, Finley, NVE, doesn't anyone think he would have turned out pretty damn decent? There are multiple people that felt he was a better pure PG than Tony. Most people realized he was a pretty good ballplayer.

And contrary to what most people "read" and "hear" about Beno, 99% of it is BS.

    Good for him. Next?

    Who told me what?

The screen capture of him complaining about Pop on MySpace is here on the forum.

He sat out from practice all the time for minor injuries.

He said himself that he was shocked they wanted him to work on his shot because he had never been asked to work on it before.

These are facts. No one needed to tell me
