Get well soon Timmy.
It is so hard seeing one of our guys hurt.
I knew it wasn't good when Timmy kept lying there.
I prayed for him as I am sure many of you did.
if his knee done for the year, the Spurs should just tank the season

I've seen injuries described as "contusions" or even no injury turn out to be much worse. Especially when dealing with a knee. You really have no idea until the MRI results are in.
You can check for a complete tear of the ACL or MCL before the MRI but everything else is a mystery until those results.
We're finished.
I agree. We need to play the spurs as the suns are a tougher matchup for us. Always great games to watch as well.
Damn. Just saw this reported on RealGM. Hopefully this does not turn out to be serious.
Spurs' Tim Duncan leaves game against Portland
December 2, 2007
SAN ANTONIO (AP) -- San Antonio Spurs forward Tim Duncan bruised his right knee and sprained his right ankle Sunday in the second quarter of their game against the Portland Trail Blazers.
The team said all of Duncan's ligaments appeared stable but that he would have an MRI on Monday. He was not to return to Sunday's game and the team said he would miss some playing time.
Duncan got caught up with Portland's James Jones and fell to the floor near the Spurs' basket with 7:40 left in the half. He was clutching his knee and had to be helped off the floor by two of his teammates.
! Its gonna be a loooong wait from now til tomorrows results.![]()
I just saw the replay. It was a little awkward, but didn't look particularly bad, like about 1000 other falls that happen every year. But obviously he must have hit the floor bad.
As long as it's not the knee, it shouldn't be a problem at least for the playoffs.
What time can we expect results tomorrow? MRI done this evening or no?
Radio broadcast said MRI on Monday.
No, tomorrow.
Honestly, I took a cue from the players (and reportedly from Sean Elliot). They continued to play hard, and seemed to be enjoying the game. They didn't evidence any anxiety or appear concerned on the sidelines. I think if there was great concern over Tim's injury, they might have been more sober, or given some sort of cue that the franchise player might be gone for good.
Since I didn't see that, I'm taking the report with faith and hoping for good news after the MRI.
I would have expected them to be less sober if they were worried![]()
it looked super bad in person in real time... but the replay eventually didn't seem THAT bad. Looked like he put a reasonable amount of weight on it walking off...
It didn't look all that bad. But here's a potentially bad sign -- Duncan played the 2d half of the game in which he tore his meniscus. He came out of this game.
All in all, I'm optimistic.![]()
Let's wait till tomorrow to make assumptions of we are doomed and dead, etc. After the results we will know better.
We are not doomed. Timmy is going to be completely healed quickly.
The rest of the team will rock it while he rests.
Bring on the Mavs!
Man I hope he's ok. My fantasy team is dead if he's gone.
Well if Duncan were out for an extended amount of time, who would our franchise player be in lieu of his absense?
I imagine everyone is going to argue Manu vs. Tony. So I'm going with Brent.

Either that or Bonner...

Who has the more marketable image?
It was against the L.A. Clippers the first evening then the Golden State Warriors the next. Two incredible nights of Spurs basketball, all done without Tim Duncan.

McDonald sound optimistic. Let's hope we won't have a bad surprise tomorrow.Jeff McDonald: Duncan out, but OK
The scare is over. Tim Duncan appears to have suffered no ligament damage after his scary spill in the first half, according to a halftime release from the Spurs training staff.
He won't return to the game, after suffering what the team is calling a right knee contusion and ankle sprain.
Duncan is expected to undergo an MRI on Monday, and his status will be updated after that. It sounds like Duncan will be out for a little bit, but that the injury wasn't nearly as serious as it looked at the time.
All in all, good news for the Spurs.
Good God, that it is unattractive picture of poor Bonner.
