Ah, well -- sucks that we lost again but hey, I was surprised by how long we were in the game. I've been predicting the big blowout so I'm not too depressed about it. With as bad as we suck on the road, the fact that apparently according to all the 'experts' phoenix is so much better than us, all our injuries and the distractions -- this could have been much worse.
The Mavs played great considering all the distractions surrounding Breath, and the fact that they were seriously undermanned.
Yes and Devean George was a big part of why the mavs were hanging on. Keep hating though. It might bring the best out of Devean George. Can't wait till we get Harris and Howard back. Talk about an energy boost.
Yeah throwing up shots aimed directly at Amare's hand is a big help. Eddie Jones took less shots and scored more points, had equal rebounds, and contributed far more defensively. Eddie Jones is a way bigger key to this team's success than Breath.

Were you watching the same game? George had the hard assignment of guarding Nash. Eddie Jones didn't do that. All because Terry can't guard anyone. Harris would've solved that problem and George could guard a player he is more comfortable guarding. George equals tough defender. Eddie Jones equals over the hill. Any points George gives on offense is bonus. But of course you hate the guy so I guess you were ignoring the good George did.
I used to hate Devean George when he played for the Lakers. Now, I think he might be my most favorite player of all time. Invoking a no-trade clause... classic. How he even had one is beyond me.
I thought the Mavs played very well last night, all things considered. I have no doubt they would have beaten Phoenix if they had everyone at their disposal. Avery did a great job of rallying the guys together. They could only do so much with what they had.
I'm one that thinks the team doesn't implode after this fiasco. It was Cuban, not Donnie nor Avery, that dealt with Rod Thorn and the Nets. He's the one to blame if this all goes south. With that, the players shouldn't feel as badly as if it were Avery that told them they weren't good enough. Most of the players can't stand Cuban to begin with and this is just another example of why.
I believe there are other pieces that need to be added/moved just to make the team better overall (the aforementioned Mike Miller, Cassell, Maggette, etc. options), but not the lopsided mess going on with Kidd. Kidd would be great, don't get me wrong, but not at the expense of the foreseeable future.
hey, i agree. completely impressed with dallas effort in this game. dirk really played like a man. i'm encouraged. thought suns would blow this team out. didn't happen.

Terry not running the point and allowed to be the shooter he is. He ran it on occasion, but Barea did most of the work and there were times were Terry would bring it up and quickly dump off to Breath or Dirk and run from there.
