Amare has actually been taking college classes at ASU the last couple of summers. No reason to hate on him because he didnt go to college directly out of high school.
While this thread is dumb, at least get your facts straight.
The Eagles were happy to have Amare, despite his miserable academic record. It wasn't that he was a dumb kid. In fact, on an IQ test at Lake Wells, he scored higher than almost every kid in the school.
lolpeople are saying shaq is old and done but thats what they were saying about d rob when we won our first championship.

i know this thread is 4 months old, but HORRIBLE comparison. Duncan and The Admiral worked because neither was egotistical. and in these two case, they both have ego's big enough to fit inside Amare's nose.

if shaq was ten years younger and wasn't too lazy to play defense, and if Amare wasn't an idiot and knew how to play defense---then maybe.

Shaq is a horrible teammate. He throws teammates, coaches and entire organizations under the bus when they trade his overweight ass to some sucker team. He was washed up in '07 and this year was even funnier to watch.
Amare is immature and plays defense when he can make a highlight block but other than that he sucks on that end of the floor. He's got a an ego as big as Shaq's and I'll bet they lose in the first round next year.
D Rob and Timmy both play defense, both are great teammates, both are leaders and both are coachable. End of story.

They still don't have the right personnel to run a system like that. If you slow down, you'd better be able to play air ing tight defense, and they have two starters, Shaq and Nash, that play none at all.

shaq is too injury prone to play a full season though... theres no way he will make it...

Shaq has been defrocked of his badges--- his knees, ankles and shins go next. Amare was born to play in the 7 second offense. However, Terry Porter's was an traditional player. IMO Nash will go insane by midseason running a halfcourt offense.
